My Dear Friend,
Welcome to Miracle Monday!
First, I love you, I’m praying for you and you’re precious to me!
Over the past several days we have been studying the life of Isaac, and today we come to one of the most inspiring moments in his journey of faith.
After God blessed Isaac with extraordinary increase, the Bible tells us that the Philistines became jealous and filled the wells his father Abraham had dug with earth (Genesis 26:15). Those wells had once been sources of life, provision, and blessing. They represented God’s covenant with Abraham and the inheritance that rightfully belonged to Isaac. Yet the enemy sought to bury them, hide them, and make them unusable.
Doesn’t that sound familiar?
The enemy still attempts to stop up the wells God has prepared for His children. He cannot cancel God’s promises, but he will do everything possible to discourage you from receiving them. He tries to bury your faith beneath disappointment, your joy beneath sorrow, your peace beneath anxiety, and your future beneath fear.
But Isaac refused to leave those wells buried.
The Bible says, “And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father.” (Genesis 26:18)
He reclaimed what rightfully belonged to him.
That is a beautiful picture of Total Recovery.
There are blessings that belong to you by covenant. There are prayers you have prayed, promises God has spoken, and seeds you have faithfully sown that the enemy has tried to cover with discouragement and delay. There are dreams that seem forgotten, relationships that need healing, opportunities that appear buried, and victories that have been postponed.
Yet God has not forgotten a single promise.
Isaiah declares:
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me… to proclaim liberty to the captives… to comfort all who mourn.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)
Joel gives us this remarkable promise:
“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten.” (Joel 2:25)
What wonderful hope!
God is not merely interested in helping you survive.
He delights in restoring.
He restores peace where there has been turmoil.
He restores health where there has been sickness.
He restores families, purpose, provision, and hope.
And sometimes He restores blessings that have been waiting beneath the surface all along, simply waiting for someone with enough faith to begin digging again.
Perhaps your well has been covered by disappointment.
Perhaps it has been buried beneath loss or unanswered prayer.
Do not give up.
Keep believing.
Keep praying.
Keep worshiping.
Keep digging.
Living water is still beneath the surface, and the God who blessed Isaac is able to bring refreshing, abundance, and new life into every area of your life.
