My Beloved Friend,

On this Freedom Friday, I want to return to that extraordinary moment when Peter stepped out of the boat and walked toward Jesus on the water.

We often focus on Peter’s faith.

We talk about how he stepped out.

We talk about how he became afraid.

We talk about how he began to sink.

But there is another detail in this passage that has stayed in my heart.

The Bible says:

“And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him…”
—Matthew 14:31

Jesus rescued Peter the moment he cried out.

But notice what happened next.

The wind did not immediately stop.

Matthew tells us:

“And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.”
—Matthew 14:32

Think about that.

Jesus had already reached Peter.

Jesus had already caught him.

Peter was no longer sinking.

But the wind was apparently still blowing while Jesus brought him back to the boat.

Why?

Scripture does not tell us exactly why the Lord allowed the wind to continue for those moments.

But there is a beautiful truth here for you and me:

Sometimes Jesus does not calm the storm immediately. Sometimes He carries us through it.

My precious friend in Christ, perhaps you have prayed:

“Lord, make this stop.”

“Lord, change this situation.”

“Lord, take this pressure away.”

And yet the wind continues.

The circumstances have not changed.

The report has not changed.

The financial pressure has not changed.

The relationship has not changed.

And you may wonder, “Lord, where are You?”

But Peter discovered something that I want you to remember today:

The presence of the storm does not mean the absence of Jesus.

Peter had already lost his confidence.

His faith had diminished.

He was sinking.

And yet Jesus did not abandon him because his faith weakened.

He took hold of him.

He stayed with him.

And He brought him all the way back to safety.

My beloved friend, that is freedom.

Freedom is not always waking up to find that every storm has disappeared.

Sometimes freedom is discovering that the storm no longer has the power to destroy you because Jesus is holding your hand.

Jesus asked Peter:

“O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?”
—Matthew 14:31

But notice what Jesus did not do.

He did not release Peter’s hand.

He did not say, “Come back when your faith is stronger.”

He did not leave Peter in the waves to teach him a lesson.

He corrected him while He was carrying him.

What a Savior!

Maybe your faith is not as strong today as it was six months ago.

Maybe you have been through disappointment.

Maybe you have prayed and the answer has taken longer than you expected.

Maybe the wind has worn you down.

But please hear me:

Your weakened faith does not weaken His grip on you.

David wrote:

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me.”
—Psalm 138:7

And Isaiah declares:

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee.”
—Isaiah 43:2

Notice the promise is not that we will never pass through the waters.

The promise is:

“I will be with thee.”

My dearest partner in ministry, you may still hear the wind today.

You may still see the waves.

But if Jesus has taken hold of you, you are going to make it back to the boat.

And then, in His perfect timing, the wind will cease.

That is why I want you to worship Him today.

Not only for the storm He has already stopped.

Worship Him for the storms He carried you through.

Worship Him for the nights when you thought you would not make it.

Worship Him for the moments when your faith became weak, but His hand remained strong.

Worship Him because He did not let you go.

And, my beloved friend, this is the message we must carry to the nations.

There are millions of precious people who are living in storms of fear, poverty, sickness, hopelessness, and spiritual darkness.

They need to know that there is a Savior who will reach for them.

They need to know that Jesus still saves.

Jesus still heals.

Jesus still delivers.

And Jesus still carries His children through the storm.

The upcoming crusades are only weeks away.

Africa is calling.

South Africa is calling.

Nations are opening their doors.

And I desperately want to say YES.

Yes to the crusades.

Yes to the hungry.

Yes to the hurting.

Yes to the millions who need to hear the saving and healing Gospel of Jesus Christ.

But I need your help.

Please stand with me today with your seed gift of $73 or more.

Your gift helps us take the Gospel into these nations, preach to the lost, pray for the sick, strengthen churches, and reach precious souls who are crying out for hope.

This is not merely about funding an event.

This is about souls.

Every Gospel message preached.

Every prayer offered.

Every life touched.

Every person who hears the name of Jesus.

Every soul brought into the Kingdom.

Your prayers and seed gifts help make it possible.

And for your gift of $73 or more, I want to send you something very special that I have prepared especially for you—the beautiful Good Morning Holy Spirit T-shirt, available in sizes Small through 2XL.

This powerful witnessing tool is exclusive to this ministry.

You cannot receive it anywhere else.

And please remember, we are not selling T-shirts.

This is my personal gift of love and appreciation to you for standing with me and sowing into this great harvest of souls.

Wear it as a testimony of your love for the precious Holy Spirit.

Wear it as a witnessing tool.

And wear it knowing that together we are carrying the Gospel to the nations.

My beloved friend, perhaps your wind has not stopped yet.

Do not be discouraged.

Sometimes the miracle isn’t that the wind stops—it’s discovering that Jesus will carry you through it.

And remember this:

His grip is stronger than your storm.

Your faith may waver.

Your strength may weaken.

The wind may still be blowing.

But the hand of Jesus is still holding you.

And if His hand is holding you, the storm will not have the final word.

With all my love and prayers for you,

Benny Hinn

P.S. My precious friend in Christ, if the winds of life are blowing hard around you today, please do not lose heart. Jesus is closer than you think. Your faith may feel small, but His hand is still strong. I am praying that He will carry you safely through every storm you are facing. And as you stand with me today with your $73 seed gift or more, together we will carry this same message of hope to millions of souls who desperately need to know that Jesus is still reaching, still rescuing, still healing, and still saving. I love you, I thank God for you, and I am deeply grateful that we are standing together in this great harvest.
