My Dear Friend,
Welcome to Sacred Sunday!
Over the past several weeks, we have been studying the remarkable life of Isaac together, and with each message the beautiful Holy Spirit has revealed another wonderful truth about God’s faithfulness. Today’s lesson has rested deeply upon my heart, and I truly believe it is a message our precious Lord Jesus has prepared especially for you.
Isaac inherited something he did not create. He stepped into promises he did not originate. Before Isaac ever sowed a field, dug a well, or built an altar, God had already established a covenant with Abraham. Isaac’s responsibility was not to invent God’s blessing—it was simply to believe it, walk in it, and receive it by faith. Beloved, I want you to know that many of the greatest blessings God has prepared for your life have already been established by His promises. Your assignment is not to earn them, but to trust Him enough to step into them.
When God spoke to Isaac, He did something remarkable. He did not establish a new covenant. Instead, He reaffirmed the promise He had already made to Abraham.
The Lord said,
“And I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father.” (Genesis 26:3)
What an extraordinary declaration.
God was saying, “Isaac, I have not forgotten My promise.”
The blessing Isaac enjoyed was rooted in God’s faithfulness long before Isaac ever experienced it.
That is still true today.
As believers, we are heirs of promises that originated in the very heart of God. His mercy, His favor, His peace, His provision, His healing, and His presence are not things we earn through human effort. They are gifts of His covenant grace.
The Apostle Paul reminds us,
“And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29)
Think about those words:
Heirs according to the promise.
An heir does not create the inheritance.
He simply receives it.
That does not mean we become passive. Isaac still had to obey. He remained where God told him to remain. He sowed during famine when others fled. He reopened the wells his father had dug. He trusted God when circumstances made no sense at all.
Faith always responds to God’s promises with obedience.
Every seed Isaac planted became an expression of confidence in the covenant God had already declared.
The same is true for us.
When we worship, when we obey, when we honor God with our lives, and when we sow into His Kingdom, we are not attempting to persuade Him to bless us. We are responding to promises He has already made. Our obedience does not create His covenant—it positions us to experience it.
Scripture says,
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart… and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
And again,
“Being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” (Romans 4:21)
What God promised Abraham…
He fulfilled in Isaac.
What God has promised through His Word…
He will fulfill in you.
Perhaps today you have been waiting for an answer. Perhaps you’ve prayed for years and wonder if God has forgotten.
He has not.
The covenant has not changed.
His promises have not weakened.
Heaven still remembers your name.
Keep trusting.
Keep believing.
Keep sowing.
Keep worshiping.
The God who fulfilled His promise to Abraham and Isaac is the same God who watches over His Word to perform it today. I believe He is preparing you to walk into blessings that were established long before you ever knew they were yours.
I love you dearly. It is my heart and calling to pray for you and to believe God for your miracle. Send your prayer requests to me at [email protected] or join our Global Prayer Army.
With much love,
