First century believers like Paul, Peter, Jude, James and John preached excellence in life and ministries and expected Christ to come possibly in their lifetimes. They did not teach that people should excel in life and ministry before their death.

First century Apostles taught believers to excel in life and ministry because Jesus was coming soon, because Jesus may come in their life time. They taught believers to occupy till Jesus comes.

The coming of Christ was a living hope. The Scriptures allow us to hope for a car, house or any other things. But the coming of Christ is a hope, a living hope.

Let us contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints. Every Individual or church that loses sight of a possible return of Christ in their generation loses focus and often goes into heresy and strife.

Every generation that loses sight of a possible return of Christ in their day loses focus and often goes into heresy and strife. No generation that loses sight of a possible return of Christ in their generation pursues evangelism with vigor.

Let us occupy till Jesus comes. Let us occupy in view of Christ coming. Let us occupy because Jesus is coming soon. Let us fulfill purpose and affect our generation before Jesus comes. Let us fulfill purpose and affect our generation because Jesus may come in our lifetime!

This is the living hope.
