Peace Comes With Jesus

  • Turn to Jesus when you have exhausted every possible resource.

  • Many choose not to come to Jesus because they are afraid.

  • Jesus has made a way for us to come to the Father.

Doctors and medical science have helped many individuals and continue to help many as their commitment to medical research unlocks the secrets of life-threatening diseases.

But when you have exhausted every possible resource and there is nowhere else to go for help in the natural, there is still an answer – go to Jesus.

Even today many choose not to come to Jesus because they are afraid of losing something – friends, a job, respect, or some status in society.

They face the same forms of opposition that Jairus did (in Mark 5:23-24).

When Jarius came to Jesus, he had only one thing on his mind – he wanted his daughter to live.

His desire for his daughter to live surpassed any fear of loss that could oppose him. He overcame the fear of loss and moved closer to his miracle.

Are you willing to lay aside the cares of this world today?:

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:24-26)

Jesus has made a way for us to come to the Father.

He stands today with arms extended for you to come.

I am blessed by the great hymns of the church that help usher us into God’s healing presence.

One such hymn, “Come Unto Me” shares this uplifting message:

Hear the blessed Savior calling the oppressed,
“O ye heavy laden, come to Me and rest.
Come, no longer tarry, I your load will bear,
Bring Me every burden, bring Me every care.”
Come unto Me, I will give you rest;
Take My yoke upon you, hear Me and be blessed.
I am meek and lowly, come and trust My might.
Come, My yoke is easy, and My burden’s light.
Are you disappointed, wandering here and there,
Dragging chains of doubt and loaded down with care?
Do unholy feelings struggle in your breast?
Bring your case to Jesus—He will give you rest.
