The Lord continues to examine your heart. Many people say, “Come, Holy Spirit,” but He will not come. Why? Because the place of habitation is unclean. Why should you expect the Most High to dwell in an atmosphere of filth?
Hold Onto Treasure
We must make a decision. The Lord is saying, “It is either Me or the world!” He demands that you choose. And once you commit to His kingdom, you will hear Him say, “I will…sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).What are you filled with? The moment the anointing dissipates, something will take its place. That is why you must cherish every drop of God’s anointing as more precious than gold.
We must take seriously the warning in Hebrews regarding the gift God has given us. Hold on to your salvation! Those who fall away are in mortal danger of permanent separation from the Father:
“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” (Hebrews 6:4-6)We have been given advance notice:
“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation” (Hebrews 2:1-3).We must not allow God’s treasure to slip out of our hands.
