Blessing Prayer for Week of January 12-18
“And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. Romans 5:5“
Pray this prayer and let it guide you all week:
“Heavenly Father,
It would be impossible for me to develop a prayer life with you were it not for the Holy Spirit. Your divine intervention in my life has miraculously changed me. Because You have quickened me I can call upon Your name (Psalm 80:18). Reveal Your direction and leadership in my life Lord. I will continue to seek You until You make my calling sure. Thank You that I don’t have to make decisions on my own. Your Holy Spirit is there to be my Teacher, Guide and Counselor. You have directed my steps Lord and in You my path is sure.
“Pray always,” Paul wrote in (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Prayer should be part of our daily life, for it gives us the opportunity for offering thanks and for staying in communication with the Father. Prayer also gives us the opportunity to come to Him with our requests. The Father promises, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which though knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).
Matthew 18:19 declares:
“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.”
Pastor Benny,
I just read your devotional on prayer for this week January 12 to 18, 2020.
It is comforting that the Holy Spirit is always there as our teacher, guide and counsellor. That the Holy Spirit is there to help us in everything we do and keeps us connected to God, but not just connected to God those that are truly born again and filled with the Holy Spirit are the body of Christ, and the Holy Spirit keeps us connected to our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is comforting and amazing to know that we all come together before the throne of God even though we are in different locations across the earth. That what ever God is doing on the earth he knows where each one of us is. Thank you for your devotions, books and what you do on Face Book and on TV Pastor Benny.
God bless you from Rosie Howes.
