Benny Hinn was born on December 3, 1952, in the port city of Jaffa (part of modern Tel Aviv), Israel. Though Israeli born, he is of Greek and Armenian descent. In 1968, not long after the Six Day War, he, along with his parents, immigrated with his family to Canada.

During February 1972, Benny Hinn’s life took on an entirely new meaning when he surrendered his heart and life to Jesus Christ as high school friends prayed with him. Soon afterward, he was called to preach the Gospel.

Today, he continues to take the message of God’s saving and healing power to the world. Benny Hinn is the proud parent of three daughters and a son. He resides in southern California, strategically located near the ministry-owned television studio in Aliso Viejo.
