Today’s Key Scripture
“Just as Abraham ‘believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness,’ therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.”
— Galatians 3:6-7
Even though God promised Abraham that his descendants, the Jewish people, would possess the land of Canaan, that was not the Lord’s major purpose. His seed was at the heart of God’s plan. He called Abraham so that He could give him a seed—Jesus Christ—through whom the whole world would be blessed.
Our Lord Jesus came to establish the covenant of Abraham: “But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living” (Matthew 22:31-32, KJV).
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the God of our covenant, and upon that covenant we can fellowship with Him, spending time in His presence.
Are you ready to walk a pathway that will bring you into the presence of God?
Today I ask you to arise and make a covenant with God regarding your prayer life. It is the key to communion, fellowship, and a divine relationship with your heavenly Father. And because of the seed, we can claim the victory
A Prayer for Today
Father, more than ever I seek to walk in covenant faith with You. I want to stand upon Your promises today. I acknowledge Jesus as Savior and Lord of my life. Each time I come into Your presence, let Your fullness and glory flow over me so I can be a better reflection of Your power, glory, and anointing. Help me remember to pray Your promises in every situation. Help me focus on You. I want to know You better. I want to understand Your ways and Your will. May I glorify You in word and deed today I pray this in the name above all names, Jesus, amen.
