Today’s Key Scripture

“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.”

— Ephesians 6:18, KJV

The Holy Spirit does many things in the life of a believer, such as:

  • He brings us into God’s presence—“Through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father” (Ephesians 2:18).
  • He helps us worship—“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).
  • He gives us power—“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you” (Acts 1:8).
  • He gives direction to our life—“As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
  • He appoints us to ministry—“As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them” (Acts 13:2).

And the Holy Spirit helps us to pray:

Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26)

The Holy Spirit brings strength, insight, guidance, and victory as we spend time in His presence. That is my prayer for you today and always.

A Prayer for Today

Precious Father, thank You for victory in every area of my life. Thank You for helping me in my weakest moments. I’m so grateful for Your answers and direction, even when I can’t see them. You are my Guide. You alone know what is best for me, so I willingly stand before You today to ask for You direction, help, patience, and understanding. Teach me to have faith to stand firmly upon Your promises when I am impatient. I ask You to help me endure to the end so I am able to reap the harvests that You already have planned for me. I rejoice in Your holiness and provision. Thank You, Father, for Your divine intervention in every area of my life. I pray this in Jesus’ name, amen.
