Today’s Key Scripture

“Then I will make their waters clear, and make their rivers run like oil,’ says the Lord God.”

— Ezekiel 32:14

Micah 6:7 echoes today’s scripture by asking, “Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, ten thousand rivers of oil?”

Why be satisfied with a drip of God’s anointing on your life when you can have a river of oil dripping all over you?

Smith Wigglesworth, a great evangelist of the early 1900s and a man who personally knew the power of God’s anointing said:

It is not sufficient just to have a touch of God or to usually have a desire for God. There is only one thing that will meet the needs of the people today, and that is to be immersed in the life of God—God taking you and filling you with His Spirit, until you live right in God, and God lives in you, so that “whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,” it will all be for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).

Are you hungry to be filled to overflowing with God’s Spirit? If so, God wants you to be immersed in His anointing today.

Did you know that there is a unique anointing of God on every believer? God’s Word declares, “Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God” (2 Corinthians 1:21). The same God who created you is also the God who anoints you as you come into His presence.

God’s power and anointing are available to you today. Move in God’s deep river of anointing!

A Prayer for Today

Almighty God, as I welcome the Holy Spirit into my life right now, I ask for Your anointing to be what You want me to be. Forgive me when I compare myself to others. Forgive me for longing for things outside of what You desire specifically for me. Thank You for loving and blessing me right where I am as I strive to follow the path on which You’ve placed me. I love you—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit! Help me to keep my eyes on You today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
