Today’s Key Scripture
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
— Hebrews 10:19-22
It is important to seek the right condition for prayer. It is also vital to be in the right location. Likewise, we must be aware of the right position for prayer.
When I talk about position, I do not mean standing, sitting, or kneeling. The Scriptures tell us that when Moses went into the tabernacle to be alone with God, he came into the Most Holy Place. There stood the Ark of the Covenant, the mercy seat, and the blood.
It is impossible to pray effectively without coming to the blood. Scripture says:
He shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east side; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times. Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, bring its blood inside the veil, do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat and before the mercy seat. (Leviticus 16:14-15)
As believers, we must come through the work of the cross. That is the right position for prayer and anointing.
A Prayer for Today
My heavenly Father, Creator of all and Source of all goodness and love, I’m so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus gave on Calvary’s cross so that I could enter into Your presence because of the blood You shed for me. I honor You with deep gratitude for all Your gifts and blessings You continually bestow upon me. Grant me continued grace and blessings throughout the coming days. It is in Jesus’ holy name I pray, amen.
