Today’s Key Scripture

“Thus says the Lord god, the Holy One of Israel: ‘In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength.’”

— Isaiah 30:15

From confession, supplication, and adoration, we always move into communion and intimacy with our precious Lord.

Intimacy is where words become inadequate. As we worship Him, He will fill us with His presence, and as a result, our hearts will be filled with His abundance. This results in holy silence and intimacy.

Intimacy with God begins when we pursue Him with our whole heart. King David wrote, “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’” (Psalm 27:8).

We are invited to seek Him intimately: “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8).

The presence of God is often marked by quietness and intimacy. We are told in Scripture, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). “Be still” means to cease from striving, to focus less on the noise of the world, and to literally bathe in His stillness and presence. The result is that you will know He is God.

The apostle Paul prayed, “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Corinthians 13:14).

Intimacy is the key that will lead you into communion and toward intercession.

A Prayer for Today

Father God, Lord, I desire deep communion with You. I want to be used to touch others, but I increasingly realize that I must first invite You into every part of my life so You can permeate my thoughts, intents, and plans. I long for Your anointing. I seek Your revelation and intimate fellowship. As I follow You, help me be a willing vessel of honor for You. I pray this in the name that is above all names, Jesus, amen.
