Today’s Key Scripture (all references NKJV unless otherwise noted:

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

—2 Corinthians 13:14

I especially love this verse from the timeless hymn, “Amazing Grace”:

Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come;

‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far and Grace will lead me home.

The grace of God is something that must be fully understood to live the abundant life in Jesus Christ. When you finally realize that your flesh can do nothing to save you, keep you, or produce spiritual fruit in your life, your life will begin to change in ways you never imagined, especially in the area of persevering prayer.

You are His workmanship! May God open our eyes, more than ever before, to see that He is the vine that supplies life to the branches:

Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

You struggle in vain to produce fruit. However, as you allow God, the Vine, to produce fruit through you, you will see an outpouring of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance in you and through you.

And may God’s divine grace produce an abundant harvest that will change your life forever. That is my prayer for you!

God desires for you to abide in Him as you seek to reach the world, even as He has chosen to use you to be His hands extended.

A Prayer for Today:

Heavenly Father, I believe that prayer is the overflow of a heart filled with You. I want to live in Your fullness every day. I long to spend time in Your presence with a heart that is prepared for Your touch. I desire to listen to You and all You have to share with me. Thank You for enabling me to approach Your throne of grace. Open my eyes to see what You want me to see.
