Today’s Key Scripture (all references NKJV unless otherwise noted:

When I cry out to You,

Then my enemies will turn back;

This I know, because God is for me.

— Psalm 56:9

Prayer not only brings the will of God to earth; it will literally turn your enemies away from you. Alone, we are not strong enough to stop the onslaught of satan, yet through prayer God can move mountains. You can stand on the Word!

We need to realize that the Lord is looking down from heaven asking the question, “Who is praying? Who is praying?”

The psalmist wrote, “For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the Lord viewed the earth, To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To release those appointed to death”  (Psalms 102:19-20, KJV).

No matter what is going on in your life, God says “I want to free you from captivity. I will release you from death.”

You may be reading this today and the doctor has told you, “There is no hope.” You may be aching inside because of the strife in your family, or because your children are hurting. You may be involved in a lawsuit and fear that justice will not prevail.

I am telling you on the authority of God’s Word that prayer can change your circumstances. God will intervene on your behalf and there will be a shout of victory!

A Prayer for Today:

Heavenly Father, help me to see that You are for me! I honor and glorify You above all else. Open and enlighten the eyes of my heart that I might see You in all of Your glory. Help me to understand You better, especially how You desire to work through my life. Give me wisdom to make the best choices. Fill me with the utter desire to pursue You and Your presence more than anything else in this world. Cover me with Your protection and envelope me with Your love. And I pray all these things in the Name of Your precious Son who died for me that I can live for all eternity with You, Amen!
