Key Scripture
“Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. ‘What a huge harvest!’ he said to his disciples. ‘How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!’”
— Matthew 9:35-38, msg
Agreement brings victory in evangelism.
Just before ascending to heaven, Jesus Christ instructed His disciples, “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all. Whoever believes and is baptized is saved” (Mark 16:15, msg). He gave them the greatest privilege and the greatest honor given to any man or woman.
The apostle Paul spoke of the agreement needed to carry out our Lord’s commandment:
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they are sent? (Romans 10:13-15, KJV)
Jesus is still calling you and me to go into all the world to preach His blessed Gospel and tell all nations that He is the Lamb of God, slain for the sins of the world; that He is the One who takes away the sins of the world; that He is the “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6).
To be victorious in this great cause, unified warriors are vital. Become a bridge to the lost, hurting, and needy today.
A Prayer for Today
Father, You have saved me and called me to be Your witness, just as You have saved and called believers all over the globe. I pray for unity among all believes so we can be used mightily for the kingdom during these days of trouble, discouragement, danger, and persecution. May we join in prayer, love, harmony, and support. Strengthen our bonds as Your children to reach past all barriers to compel the unsaved toward salvation and future citizenship in heaven. I pray for unity as we proclaim You to the nations. In Jesus’ wonderful name, amen.
