As Pastor Benny Hinn’s study of the book of 1 Corinthians 12 continues, he points to verse 7—“the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” The nine spiritual gifts were poured out for the advancement of Christianity and the edification of believers. We can be thankful that each gift has its proper place in the body of Christ and that each member is given gifts for the benefit of the whole body and each particular member as we strive to fulfill the Great Commission. We are told to “covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way” (verse 31).
