In this continuing study of Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians, God reveals through this wonderful passage the powerful lesson of Christian conduct in a world of idolatry and rituals: “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (verse 31). Even in a world whose religions are often thickly veiled and mysterious, Paul shows that we must live simply and straightforwardly, doing all to please and honor Almighty God. This is the basic principle of practical godliness. This comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. What a blessing, to be able to serve Him in such simplicity and truth!
