The internet has done amazing things for for the Gospel. It has also provided a platform for criminals to impersonate pastors and ministries. There are fake profiles for every ministry that is on TV or holds large services. We have people who are dedicated to finding and closing these fake accounts.

It costs the ministry a lot of money in personnel and legal fees to pursue these individuals, but keeping our partners safe online is a top priority. This is a ministry expense and issue that most people don’t realize exists.

  1. Pastor Benny will NEVER, EVER personally send you an instant message, email, message or comment on any social media platform. If you receive a message from someone claiming to be Pastor Benny, they are a scammer and attempting to deceive you, period.

Here are a few indicators of a fake account:

  1. Is not verified (has no blue check box)
  2. Does not have many friends. (Every social media account for Benny Hinn Ministries has millions of followers. Fake accounts do not have many followers. Any account with less than 3 million followers is fake.)
  3. Contacts you asking for money
  4. Contacts you randomly
  5. Is raising money for a specific cause (like an orphanage in Nigeria).
  6. Just doesn’t look right, or feel right.
  7. Gives contact information that is different from the Benny Hinn Ministries phone number, email, etc. that is published on the Benny Hinn Ministries website.
  8. Provides a link that is not to https://www.bennyhinn.org
  9. Provides a contact email that is not from an email address ending in @bennyhinn.org or @imail.bennyhinn.org (Such as a yahoo, or gmail account).
  10. Is any account other than https://www.facebook.com/BennyHinnMinistries
