Today’s Key Scripture
“Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.”
— Galatians 3:13-14, MSG
The key to walking in victory, both today and in the future, rests in our covenant relationship with God. Though the world struggles, God’s people who walk in covenant will have supernatural provision and victory.
God has a covenant with you that will never be broken: “My covenant I will not break, nor alter the word that has gone out of My lips” (Psalm 89:34).
When we are a covenant believers, God will take care of us, even in times of famine and difficulty. While the world struggles, we will rejoice, for the God we serve has given this promise:
In famine He shall redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and you shall not be afraid of destruction when it comes. You shall laugh at destruction and famine, and you shall not be afraid of the beasts of the earth. (Job 5:20-22)
You are in this world, but you don’t belong to it, nor are you run by it! The world’s economy will continue to crumble, but your position as a believer, daily fellowshipping with Him and spending time in His presence, is one of strength and power.
A Prayer for Today
Father God, today I pray as a covenant believer for victory in every area of my life. I lift up those in my family, my neighborhood, my region, and all around the world who don’t know You as Savior and Lord. I pray for those who are lost and without hope. Help me live victoriously, reflecting Your love and concern for those who don’t know You. I pray for divine appointments today that will open doors to Your Word. Allow me to be a living and faithful witness for You. Help me to lead people to You. God, with all my heart I pray for the world to know You and Your love for them. In Jesus’ name, amen.
