Key Scripture
“My choice is you, God, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice! You set me up with a house and yard. And then you made me your heir!”
— Psalm 16:6, msg
To finish this month’s devotionals on agreement, what better time to remind you and me of the need to be in agreement with God Himself. After all, one of the greatest needs facing today’s believers is the need for God’s presence and power, every day and all day long. We need to become prayer warriors who can touch the throne room of heaven.
That is only possible when a person lives in unity with our Father. Only then can you move into a dimension you’ve never experienced before.
If you are lacking in any area of your spiritual life, ask for our Lord’s help and see how a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit can help you gain (or regain) the abundant life that belongs to you in Christ.
As you ask the Spirit of God for guidance, He literally takes your knowledge of the Word and brings it to life so you can apply it to your daily walk in Christ Jesus: “The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you” (John 14:26).
The apostle Paul wrote, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Ephesians 3:20).
It all begins as you make a fresh commitment to spend time daily in agreement with Him.
A Prayer for Today
Father, it is so wonderful to arise each day to spend time embraced in Your arms, empowered by You, and immersed in agreement with You. May I ever be mindful of what a unique privilege it is to come into Your presence. May I never take this cherished honor for granted. I seek to honor You with a willing spirit, an open heart, and an intense determination to serve You obediently and wholeheartedly today and every day for the rest of my life. Help me walk in obedience and faith as I strive to follow Your will in every word and deed. I pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
