Today’s Key Scripture
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
— Acts 4:13
Because of the Holy Spirit, the behavior of Peter and John was drastically changed after the Day of Pentecost. Instead of fearing the Jews, they were proclaiming the message of the gospel with confidence.
The Holy Spirit gives us, among other gifts, three kinds of boldness: boldness to come before God, boldness with other people, and boldness against the enemy of our soul. Everything changes when we come into this anointing.
I have great difficulty whenever I try to fully describe what I experience during a service when the anointing of the Holy Spirit comes upon me. Everything changes in a moment’s time, all because of God’s wonderful anointing.
On many occasions I have watched a video afterward from a crusade service or a television broadcast from a similar event. Each time I watch in total awe and wonder as I watch myself, the Benny Hinn on the television screen ministering with boldness and authority under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. I marvel at what I see myself doing sometimes, because I know that it’s the anointing of the Holy Spirit that makes the difference.
It’s an awesome experience—one that I treasure!
A Prayer for Today
Father, change my behavior in Your image. I pray that You, precious Holy Spirit, will reveal God Almighty as my Abba Father and that You will guide me into the Father’s living presence so that I can grow closer to You, become more like You, and see my prayers become supernaturally effective. I seek more of You. Guide my steps into Your path of righteousness, peace, and purpose. Strengthen my heart to fulfill Your calling upon my life. Use me to bring light to those who walk in darkness. I pray all this in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, amen.
