Today’s Key Scripture – all references NKJV unless otherwise noted:

I have hope in God.

—Acts 24:15

The Lord continues to remind me of my primary mission in life. It is to bring people into the presence of the Lord so that they can receive from Him. If you attend any of our crusades or watch our television ministry, you understand that clearly.

That is one of the reasons that I relate so much to Paul the apostle. He, too, was on a mission. No matter what his circumstances were, he presented the gospel. And Paul, too, was supernaturally aided to do what he did and nothing could shake his commitment.

What a powerful example for every believer to follow!

As Paul stood accused before the governor, he said:

But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets. I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

—Acts 24:14, 15

Paul was given hope, that marvelous, eternal hope that is given only by the Holy Spirit. Nothing, not even the presence of his enemies, could take that hope away!

A Prayer for Today:

Father God, You are my hope, both in this life and for all eternity. I trust You today and forever. I ask for divine strength and guidance. You know my weaknesses and strengths. You know me better than I know myself. So, I pray today that I will persevere no matter what comes my way. I pray that You will give me the patience and the courage to endure the challenges that are necessary for me to grow as a believer. Thank You for destroying any yoke of bondage that would sap my strength and slow my walk. And I especially thank You today for the eternal reward in heaven that makes the trials worth everything. I pray this in Your Name, Amen!
