When you know you are redeemed, your walk with God will change. You’ll see yourself in a brand-new light.
You will know God has placed such great value on you because He purchased you through the precious blood of His dear Son. That blood was shed for all mankind—for every man, woman, boy, and girl. All anyone has to do is say “yes” to experience the redemption purchased by Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary’s cross.
And from the moment you are ransomed from sin, there are blessings and promises from the Word of God available to you.
As we approach Easter, the yearly commemoration of our Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection, how often do we sing this wonderful Andraé Crouch song?
The blood that Jesus shed for me,
Way back on Calvary;
The blood that gives me strength
From day to day,
It will never lose its power.
It reaches to the highest mountain,
It flows to the lowest valley;
The blood that gives me strength
From day to day,
It will never lose its power.
Oh, that each believer could understand the meaning of those words and the trail of blood that runs through the Old and New Testaments—the Adamic Covenant, Noahic Covenant, Abrahamic Covenant, Mosaic Covenant, Davidic Covenant, New Covenant, and the Everlasting Covenant. Today, God continues to give Christ-followers the power to live triumphantly, for each one of us has been redeemed by His blood!
So, what are we supposed to tell others? The list could be endless. Let me share seven specific blessings:
Blessing 1: Because you are redeemed, the Holy Ghost is upon you.
The Holy Spirit is given to us because of redemption:
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb” (Revelation 22:1).
The blood always brought the fire down in the old covenant, and so it is today, the blood brings the Spirit of the Lord down upon your life. The river of life refers to the Holy Ghost. He proceeds out of the Lamb. That means the redemptive work of Christ gives us the Holy Spirit.
Blessing 2: Because you are redeemed, you are reconciled to God.
The power of the blood of Jesus removed all that separated you from God:
“But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13).
The blood restored your relationship and fellowship with God—“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven” (Colossians 1:20).
When Jesus bought you by His own blood, an incredible spiritual union occurred, bringing you back to the Father!
Blessing 3: Because you are redeemed, there is an uninterrupted, abiding cleansing through His shed blood.
We are told:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:7-9)
This is an abiding, continual cleansing. When God looks at you, He sees the blood of His Son and the work of the cross cleansing you as you walk in fellowship with Him.
Blessing 4: Because you are redeemed, you are sanctified.
Jesus sanctified you with His blood: “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate” (Hebrews 13:12). The word “sanctify” means to be set apart for the Master’s use.
We are sanctified for a purpose—to serve the Lord:
“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work” (2 Timothy 2:21).
How are you purged and set apart? By the blood!
Blessing 5: Because you are redeemed, you are perfected.
Hebrews 10:14 declares, “For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.” By one offering, Christ’s blood, you are perfected.
You may not think of yourself as perfect, but when God looks at you through the blood of Jesus, He sees you as perfect.
Blessing 6: Because you are redeemed, God does not remember your sins.
Because you are purchased and perfected by the blood, God does not recall your transgressions, not even one of them! God declares, “For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more” (Jeremiah 31:34).
Every sin is forgotten and is under the blood. Every sin has been washed away and this gives you unlimited access to the blood of Jesus:
Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised). (Hebrews 10:19-23)
Blessing 7: Because you are redeemed, you have both victory and protection.
God’s Word declares, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” (Revelation 12:11).
Exodus 12 describes the Passover in Egypt when Israel marked their doorposts with the blood of the lamb, symbolic of the blood of Jesus. Verse 23 declares:
“For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”
You have victory over the enemy and protection by the redemptive blood of Jesus. But that blood must be applied, just as Israel applied the blood to their doorposts.
When was the last time you applied the blood to your problems? When was the last time you applied the blood on your family? When was the last time you applied the blood on your home and your possessions? Why not do it right now?
Make this confession of faith which summarizes the benefits of your redemption:
Because I am redeemed, the Holy Ghost is upon me. I am reconciled to God and there is continual cleansing of my sin. I am sanctified, I am perfected, and God does not remember my sins! Because of the redemptive blood, I have victory over the enemy, and I am protected. I am covered. My problems are covered. My home is covered. My family is covered. I pray this in Your mighty name, my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!
Tell the World
One translation of the “let the redeemed say so” passage in Scripture shares more facets of our redemption, as well as God’s command to share those blessings with others:
Oh, thank GOD—he’s so good! His love never runs out. All of you set free by GOD, tell the world! Tell how he freed you from oppression, Then rounded you up from all over the place, from the four winds, from the seven seas. (Psalm 107:1-3 MSG)
Declare every day that you are redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Remind the enemy that you understand whose you are, who you are, and what it means to be purchased by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ!
A Growing Urgency to Tell the World
There is such a great, exploding resolve in my heart to get this Gospel of our precious Lord Jesus out to as many as possible before it is too late, for this is God’s purpose for this prophetic hour!
How privileged we are to be called His people, and how privileged we are to take His Gospel to the nations during these momentous times.
Yet we have much to do, and I want to earnestly ask for your help, for God is calling us to a deeper dimension of prayer, hunger, power, and taking the life-saving, miracle-working Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nations! We must do it now!
As you give to take the message of God’s love and redemption to the nations, will you agree with me in prayer that God will move mightily during the coming days?
I believe that the weeks and months to come will be the greatest season of harvest yet! I have received numerous prophetic words about what God is going to do in our midst, and I truly sense that this is the hour that prophets of old spoke about and believers through the centuries have anticipated with great expectation.
We are in a powerful, prophetic hour, and the most glorious days are just ahead!
I love you so much and am honored that you are my partner for this cause. I ask you today to sow your seed with an expectant faith, knowing that God is about to visit your life with a new atmosphere, a new anointing, and a new urgency!
Our Lord Jesus Himself taught:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)
Those who sow into the Gospel, God will honor beyond description.
And what we do we must do quickly, knowing that soon we will hear His words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21).
Now is the time!
I look forward to hearing from you very soon.
For the glorious and eternal cause of our precious Lord Jesus Christ,
