I John 4 Love comes from God. Everyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

This is how God showed His love: He sent His one and only Son into the world so we could have life through Him. Real love is not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to take away our sins.

Since God loved us so much, we also should love each other. When we love one another, God lives in us, and His love is made complete in us.

God has given us His Spirit as proof that we live in Him and He lives in us. We know the love God has for us, and we trust that love.

There is no fear in love. Perfect love drives out fear. If we love God, we must also love our brothers and sisters.
