Throughout Scripture, we are given a clear revelation of who Jesus truly is. He was not merely a good teacher, a prophet, or a man used by God. The Bible reveals Jesus Christ as God manifested in the flesh.
 
When we examine the attributes that belong uniquely to God, we find them revealed in Jesus. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present, unchanging, and eternal.
 
These truths are foundational to our faith because who Jesus is, determines what He can do in our lives. If Jesus is truly God, then He is worthy of our complete trust, worship, obedience, and surrender.
 
1. He Is Omnipotent — All-Powerful
 
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
— Isaiah 9:6, KJV
 
The birth of Jesus was not simply the arrival of another child into the world. Isaiah prophesied that the Son who would be given would be called “The mighty God.”
 
Jesus demonstrated the power of God throughout His earthly ministry. He healed the sick, opened blind eyes, cast out devils, multiplied food, commanded the winds and the sea, and even raised the dead.
 
His authority was not limited to one area of life. Creation itself responded to His command.
The same Jesus who spoke peace to a storm is the Jesus who can speak peace into the storms of our lives. The same Christ who had authority over sickness, demons, nature, and death has authority over every circumstance we face.
 
There is no situation beyond His power.
 
When you know that Jesus is the Almighty God, you do not have to live in fear of what you are facing. Your circumstances may be bigger than your strength, but they are never bigger than His power.
 
2. He Is Omniscient — All-Knowing
 
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:”
— Isaiah 46:9–10, KJV
 
Only God possesses complete knowledge. He knows the beginning from the end. Nothing is hidden from Him, and nothing takes Him by surprise.
 
Jesus demonstrated this divine knowledge during His ministry. He knew what people were thinking, knew the secrets of their hearts, knew their past, and knew what was going to happen before it happened.
 
Jesus does not merely know about you. He knows you.
 
He knows your questions before you ask them. He knows your pain before you explain it. He knows the battles you are fighting privately, the prayers you have prayed in secret, and the desires of your heart.
 
That should not cause us to run from Him. It should cause us to run to Him.
 
Because the One who knows everything about us still loves us completely.
 
There is nothing you can hide from Jesus, and there is nothing you need to hide from Him.
 
3. He Is Omnipresent — Everywhere at Once
 
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
— Matthew 28:20, KJV
 
God is not limited by time, distance, or physical location. His presence is everywhere.
 
Jesus made an extraordinary promise to His disciples: “I am with you always.”
 
Notice that He did not say He would be with them only when everything was going well. He promised to be with them always.
 
His presence is with you in the valley and on the mountaintop. He is with you when you understand and when you do not understand. He is with you in the victory and in the battle.
 
You may feel alone, but you are never abandoned when Christ is with you.
 
This is one of the greatest comforts of the Christian life. We are not serving a distant Saviour who watches us from far away. Jesus is present with His people.
 
Wherever you go, He is there.
 
4. He Is Unchangeable — The Same Forever
 
“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.”
— Hebrews 13:8, KJV
 
Everything around us changes. People change. Circumstances change. Governments change. Our emotions change. What seems certain today may be completely different tomorrow.
But Jesus does not change.
The Jesus who loved people yesterday loves them today. The Jesus who healed yesterday is still the Healer today. The Jesus who forgave yesterday still forgives today. The Jesus who was faithful to His promises yesterday remains faithful today and forever.
 
His character does not change with our circumstances.
 
This means we can build our lives on Him.
 
When everything else feels uncertain, Jesus remains certain.
 
His promises do not expire. His love does not disappear. His power does not diminish. His faithfulness does not depend on how our circumstances look.
 
If He was faithful before, He will be faithful again.
 
5. He Is Eternal — No Beginning, No End
 
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”
— Micah 5:2, KJV
 
Jesus was born in Bethlehem, but His existence did not begin in Bethlehem.
 
Before He entered the world as a man, He already existed.
 
Micah prophesied that the coming ruler would have His “goings forth” “from everlasting.” The Son of God did not begin when Mary gave birth to Him. His earthly birth was His entrance into humanity, not the beginning of His existence.
 
This is why the identity of Jesus is so profound. He is fully God and fully man.
 
He stepped into time, but He existed before time.
 
He came into the world, but He did not originate from the world.
 
Jesus is eternal.
 
And because He is eternal, He is not a temporary answer to a temporary problem. He is the everlasting Saviour.
 
Jesus Is More Than a Teacher
 
When we put these five attributes together, we see something extraordinary.
 
Jesus is omnipotent. He is omniscient. He is omnipresent. He is unchangeable. He is eternal.
 
These are not merely impressive characteristics. They reveal His divine nature.
 
The One who has all power also knows everything.
The One who knows everything is always present.
The One who is always present never changes.
The One who never changes is eternal.
 
This is why our relationship with Jesus is not simply about following religious teachings. It is about knowing the living Son of God.
 
When you understand who Jesus is, your faith changes.
 
You do not pray to a powerless Saviour.
You do not trust an uncertain Saviour.
You do not follow a temporary Saviour.
 
You trust the eternal God who became flesh, came to save us, and remains with us forever.
 
So today, remember who Jesus is.
 
When you face something impossible, remember He is all-powerful.
 
When you have questions, remember He is all-knowing.
 
When you feel alone, remember He is always present.
 
When everything around you changes, remember He never changes.
 
And when you wonder whether He will remain faithful, remember He is eternal.
 
Jesus Christ is God—and He is worthy of your complete trust, worship, and surrender.
