50 Days That Changed History Forever
From an empty tomb to an upper room filled with fire—follow the extraordinary events that transformed fearful disciples into bold witnesses and launched the Church.

Day 1 — The Tomb Is Empty
Jesus defeats death
Before sunrise, Mary Magdalene and other women arrive at the tomb and discover the stone rolled away. Angels announce the unimaginable:
“He is not here. He has risen!”
Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene, walks with disciples on the road to Emmaus, and later reveals Himself to His disciples.
Hope is alive again.
Day 8 — (One week later) Doubt Turns to Faith
Thomas encounters the risen Christ
Thomas the Apostle refuses to believe until he sees Jesus for himself.
Then Jesus appears.
Thomas falls in awe and declares:
“My Lord and my God!”
Doubt is replaced by undeniable faith.
During the 40 Days After Resurrection, Jesus Appears Again and Again

For 40 days, Jesus appears to His followers:
-
Teaching about the Kingdom
-
Appearing to over 500 believers
-
Restoring Peter the Apostle at the Sea of Galilee
-
Preparing His disciples for what was coming next
Every appearance strengthened their faith and prepared them for their mission.

Day 40 — The Ascension

Jesus returns to heaven
On the Mount of Olives, Jesus gives His final instruction:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…”
Then before their eyes—He ascends into heaven.
The disciples watch in wonder as angels declare that He will return again.

Days 41–49 — Waiting in Jerusalem
Prayer before power
The disciples return to Jerusalem and wait exactly as Jesus commanded.
Together they:
-
Pray continually
-
Stand in unity
-
Choose Matthias the Apostle to replace Judas Iscariot
-
Expect God’s promise
Heaven is silent… but not for long.
Day 50 — Pentecost
The Church is born
Suddenly—
A mighty rushing wind fills the room.
Tongues of fire rest on each believer.
The Holy Spirit is poured out.
Tongues of fire rest on each believer.
The Holy Spirit is poured out.
The disciples are suddenly filled with the Holy Spirit and begin speaking in heavenly languages as the power of God overwhelms the room. A mighty crowd gathers in awe and wonder, hearing the glorious works of God declared in their own tongues. Heaven had touched earth—and nothing would ever be the same…

Then Peter the Apostle boldly preaches Jesus—and 3,000 people are saved in one day.
The birth of the Church.

From Empty Tomb → Upper Room → Global Movement
What began with resurrection power exploded into a worldwide mission that continues today.
From Resurrection Sunday to Pentecost, heaven was preparing the Church for its greatest assignment.
Jesus rose from the dead in victory over sin, death, and the grave. For 40 glorious days, He appeared to His disciples—proving He was alive, strengthening their faith, and teaching them about the Kingdom of God.
Then came the Ascension.
Before returning to heaven, Jesus gave His disciples a divine promise: “Wait for the promise of the Father.”
For 10 days, they gathered in prayer, unity, and expectation in Jerusalem—until suddenly, on the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out with power.
What began at an empty tomb became an upper room encounter that changed the world forever.
Resurrection brought victory.
Ascension released the promise.
Pentecost birthed the Church.
