A Legacy of Global Impact for the Gospel
For over 50 years, Pastor Benny Hinn has faithfully proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and power, leading multitudes into salvation and igniting countless testimonies of healing through the presence of the Holy Spirit. As he ministers across the globe, lives are transformed through salvation, healing, or the call to ministry.
His counsel is sought by leaders and government officials worldwide, and his teachings continue to equip tens of thousands of ministers while inspiring and mentoring the next generation. Crossing geographic, cultural, and language barriers, Pastor Benny Hinn’s ministry carries a global impact that touches individual hearts in a deeply personal way.

A Childhood Vision That Set the
Course for His Life
In 1952, Benny Hinn was born in Israel and grew up in a family with five brothers and two sisters. Raised in the Greek Orthodox faith and educated in Catholic schools, he was a shy boy who struggled with a severe stutter.
At age 11, alone in his room, a vision of Jesus smiling at him profoundly impacted his life.
Toronto: Where the Holy Spirit Became Real to Him
In the 1960s, the Hinn family moved to Canada. It was in Toronto that Benny Hinn accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord in 1972. The next year he attended a Kathryn Kuhlman service, where he witnessed God’s healing power and discovered the potential for an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit.
In April 1974, Benny Hinn received a vision that would define his calling:
Despite his passion and zeal for fulfilling God’s Will, he struggled with severe stuttering, a major obstacle to preaching. However, on December 7, 1974, at the age of 21, he was invited to share his testimony publicly, and that night, God performed a miracle!

The Ministry Begins
By January 1975, Benny Hinn was holding regular services in Toronto. In May of that year, during a service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully through the Word of Knowledge. Miracles of healing took place, and the ministry began to grow rapidly.
In the following years, newspapers chronicled these remarkable events happening across Canada and in the United States as the young minister became known for his healing services and profound teachings.
He launched a weekly television program highlighting the miracles people experienced during his meetings, which further expanded his reach.
Mentors Who Shaped His Ministry
Benny Hinn’s formative years as a preacher were influenced by notable spiritual leaders, including Kathryn Kuhlman, Mother Basilea Schlink, Corrie Ten Boom, Rex Humbard, Derek Prince, Winston Nunes, Oral Roberts. and David Du Plessis, known as ‘Mr. Pentecost,’ who imparted invaluable wisdom about the power of the Holy Spirit, reminding the young minister: “Don’t try to please God. It’s not your ability but His ability in you.”
Each played a role in inspiring and guiding his ministry, which took off like a rocket. Anointed worship and amazing miracles were the magnets that drew huge crowds to his services.
From Orlando to the World: The Rise and Growth of a Global Ministry
The 1980s marked a period of explosive growth. After moving to Orlando, Florida, Benny Hinn held services across the United States and abroad, launched a successful radio ministry, and, in 1983, founded Orlando Christian Center. The church quickly overflowed with attendees, drawing people who lined up hours before each service.
Benny Hinn became a frequent guest on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN). At Paul Crouch’s urging, the church services were recorded and televised weekly, reaching an ever-growing audience.
In 1990, the Miracle Crusades began, attracting massive crowds to arenas and stadiums worldwide. Throughout the years, the results of
these meetings have been phenomenal, as Benny Hinn has held services in virtually every state in the USA and provinces of Canada, as well as over 75 nations.
Services have been attended by record-breaking crowds, sometimes numbering in the millions, with the Bangalore, India crusade heading the list at 7 million over three nights. The souls added to the Kingdom of God are too numerous to count, and the sick have been healed by the hundreds of thousands, with the lame walking, deaf ears opening, blind eyes seeing, and lives changed by the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Young and old, rich and poor, celebrities, and people of all races worldwide have been remarkably impacted through music, ministry, and prayer.
Daily Television Broadcasts Reach
Over 200 Nations
Soon after the crusades began, Paul and Jan Crouch invited Pastor Benny to start a new television program to air daily on TBN. Originally titled Miracle Invasion, the program became This Is Your Day for a Miracle and eventually grew to air in over 200 countries with an audience in the tens of millions. There was nothing like it on television, and to date, over 10,000 daily programs have been produced, featuring crusade services, interviews with noted Christian ministers, in-depth teaching from the Word of God, and testimonies of miraculously changed lives.

The First 25 Years of Ministry
Were Just the Beginning
In 1999, at the celebration of his first 25 years of
ministry, Rex Humbard and Oral Roberts prayed over him with an eye to the future…
Celebrating 50 Years of Transforming Lives Around the World
On December 7, 2024, exactly fifty years after Benny Hinn first ministered publicly, a powerful celebration was held in Dallas, Texas, honoring all that Jesus has done through his life and ministry. And while his impact for the glory of God has been immense, Kenneth Copeland prophetically declared that even greater works for the Gospel are yet to come.
This pronouncement came to fruition in June of 2025, as Benny Hinn held a historic crusade in Kampala, Uganda. More than 1.5 million people attended, representing over 40 nations, including 50,000 pastors, while tens of millions more joined through broadcasts across Africa.

At the close of that remarkable event, the Lord spoke to Pastor Benny, saying, “Africa is yours, if you want it.” Moments later, the host pastor confirmed this divine message, declaring, “Pastor Benny, Africa is placing a demand on your anointing!”
Pastor Benny responded with a heartfelt “Yes” to this clarion call. Within weeks, invitations poured in from nearly 30 African nations to hold national crusades—clear evidence that he has entered a new season of ministry marked by unending opportunities to lead men, women, and children to Jesus Christ as Savior and Healer, not only across Africa but throughout the world.
This new mandate aligns perfectly with Pastor Benny’s vision for the future of his ministry: to strengthen the Body of Christ, equip young people as the next generation of ministers, and proclaim the Gospel in regions currently closed to it—particularly in Tehran, Iran—as the Lord opens new doors.

This ministry is not about me. It’s about the Lord. I’m a Jesus man. I will always be a Jesus man. He is life, and our only reason for living. And I make you the same promise I made Him: in every service I will go for souls. I will preach the Gospel, lifting up the name of Jesus, and He will draw all men unto Him. SOULS, SOULS, SOULS!
—Benny Hinn
