Trailblazing Training Program Expands for My Father's House in the Philippines
Benny Hinn Ministries My Father’s House—Manila and the Technical University of the Philippines, College of Industrial Technology, Manila have joined together to present the “Technical Training on Computer Hardware Troubleshooting, Repair, and Maintenance” seminar series on Saturdays from September 10 through October 1, 2005. This technical training program is a breakthrough hands-on curriculum developed in cooperation with the Technical University of the Philippines, a premier university for technical studies.
“What an exciting day it is for all of us,” reports Deanna Collins, My Father’s House Executive Director. “One of our goals is to prepare our children for independent living. Today is a gigantic step forward with the first courses being offered in computer troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance—the first of many modular technical courses that our older children will have the opportunity to participate in. The university is known throughout the Philippines for technical courses, so we are especially excited to be working closely with them as we continue to expand our Technical Training Program.”
My Father’s House, a haven for formerly homeless children and young people, provides residents with a nurturing family environment.
Michael Clarke, who oversees international mission outreaches for Benny Hinn Ministries, says, “My Father’s House is such a wonderful place where boys and girls who once had no hope can learn to feel love, be educated, learn godly values, find a purpose, set goals, and eventually become active and valued members of society. This new Technical Training Program, in cooperation with the Technical University of the Philippines, is such a powerful step toward helping the young people of My Father’s House achieve their calling in life.”
Adds Deanna Collins, “This program, geared for our young people who are thirteen and above, seeks to be a model of excellence in industrial technology education. We are developing the young people at My Father’s House to have the best instruction and highest standards in all the strategic areas of research and production to meet the demands for technologists, engineers, technicians, and specialists both here in the Philippines and around the world. On behalf of all the children and young people of My Father’s House here in Manila, we want to thank Pastor Benny, and all the partners and friends of Benny Hinn Ministries around the world!”
