Today’s Key Scripture

“You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity.”

— Jeremiah 29:13-14

In the Tabernacle’s Holy Place—the seeking world of prayer—the candlestick stood on one side and the table of showbread on the other. If you looked toward the veil, you’d see the table of incense.

Today, it is here in the seeking world of prayer that the Holy Spirit grants us the power to seek the Lord.

It is in this world of effective prayer and communication with God that we find the Lord. We find liberty from all captivity. It is here that God Almighty gives us illumination through His Word. It is here that we receive the truth of God’s Word. And it is also here that we will be nourished and satisfied by the promises of God, for it is here that we find the table of showbread.

Only in this world of communication and intimacy can we experience true worship, for the table of incense stood in the Holy Place.

Seeking the Lord, finding Him, and finding the fullness of your liberty will cause your heart to be filled with His Word. It will cause you to erupt in worship and prepare you for the greatest privilege a Christian will ever know—the knocking world.

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, I truly seek to know You. I seek to understand what You desire for me to be. I submit my ways to You. I want Your plans to be my plans. Help me to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit every day. Help me remember that Your path is always best and that Your way is immeasurably better than anything I could ask for or imagine. I pray this in the name above all names, Jesus, amen.
