Today’s Key Scripture

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”

— 1 John 5:14-15

When you pray, ask in faith and believe God for the answer. The Word says, “Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Praying in faith brings revelation. Isaiah asked, “Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1). When we believe the report, God will be made known.

As we pray in the Spirit we will begin to realize the glorious future God is preparing for us. That’s what Jesus did, who “for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).

The miracles, signs, and wonders which you have seen in the past, are a foretaste of what lies ahead. For we have “tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come” (Hebrews 6:4-5).

Ask in faith as you spend time in His presence. He has promised to hear you.

A Prayer for Today

God, I choose to listen to You, to rely on You both today and in the future, and to delight in You in all things. Even if I stumble, I am confident that I will not fall because You have promised to uphold me with Your hand. No matter what happens today, I rest in Your promise that You are my Provider and Protector. I desire to be more and more of a partaker in all the You have in store for me. Anoint me for Your purpose and glory. Give me confidence to do Your works, knowing that whatever I do I seek to do everything in Jesus’ name and authority, amen.
