The Unseen Battlefield
God is opening untold opportunities for you.
Focus for a moment on the incredible power you have.
Never underestimate the capabilities of your adversary.
If you could see the intense and violent war that is being raged against you, you would fall to your knees and cry out for God’s protection. There is an intense, constant battle being waged against you, against your children, and against those closest to you.
Remember, Satan literally gave up everything just so he could spend his existence destroying the lives of you and those you love. The Bible describes him as a roaring lion seeking to devour you. He is a predator that never stops his focus on his prey. He has you in his crosshairs every day, every moment, every second of your life.
God is so much stronger. He has equipped us with weapons that are deadly and precise, and they can destroy and confuse the evil intent of the enemy. In fact, God’s Word declares, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn” (Isaiah 54:17).
Focus for a moment on the incredible power you have to tear down strongholds of every kind. With faith anything is possible, and you will have victory over our vicious enemy in every area of your life.
But we must not play games. We are at war!
The conflict in which you and I are engaged is unlike any warfare mankind can wage against humanity, for the forces to be reckoned with are more threatening than any known natural force and the stakes are eternal!
What can you do to prepare?
Begin by looking to our Commander’s instructions for this hour:
God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. (Ephesians 6:11-12, MSG)
The Bible makes it clear that this warfare involves a foe that is not of this world. Equipped with greater weaponry than the military might of any nation or international power, our enemy opposes us in the spirit realm in the battle of the ages.
We are at war against the forces of hell, and I’ve learned over the years that the Enemy never takes a vacation. As believers, however, you have nothing to fear, for the Word of God declares, “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NKJV).
Before every spiritual breakthrough comes a battle in the realm of the Spirit. Scripture promises, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
Get Ready for Battle Now!
Preparation in any battle means the difference between victory and defeat, often between life and death. Preparation for spiritual warfare requires the application of three monumental spiritual principles revealed in the Word of God.
- Identify the Enemy
First, you must determine who your opponent really is and be spiritually prepared for battle.
In military terms, this is called “gathering intelligence.” You need to know who the opposition is, not just what your adversary wants you to think.
You have to be able to identify your foe and his forces in all circumstances. You must determine how your opponent operates—his base of operations and his tactics.
Never underestimate the capabilities of your adversary or the deceptiveness he will use in his attempt to defeat you. Satan does not fight alone, as we learn in Ephesians 6.
Let’s quickly examine the five divisions of the Enemy’s forces:
- Spirits or demons—The Word of God says, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood.”
- Principalities—From the Greek word arche, these are chief rulers of the highest rank.
- Powers—From the Greek word exousia or “authorities,” these authorities preside over the chief rulers, executing their will.
- Rulers of the darkness of this world— This world (our cosmos) binds world rulers of darkness, natural men possessing demonic powers, to the natural and refers to governments or individuals in high authority in this world who are demon led or directed.
- Spiritual wickedness in high places— Wicked spirits in the heavens are fallen angels.
Identifying the Enemy is crucial, but it is just the beginning of battle preparation!
- Be strong in the Lord.
You prepare for battle, not only by identifying the enemy, but also by defining your strength. It’s important to know that the strength needed to subdue and defeat the enemy of your soul is not found in the natural realm but solely in the Lord and the spiritual realm.
The Bible commands you as a warrior to “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10). The Greek implies the command to “be strengthened” in Christ’s might, as is promised to the believer: “What is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power” (Ephesians 1:19).
Strength in the Lord is obtained as you recognize who you are in Christ and acknowledge that He is the real source of our strength. Don’t attempt to fight the forces of hell alone, for the power to subdue and defeat the enemy does not rest in your strength; it comes from the Lord. Jesus Himself declared, “I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19).
- Clothe yourself with the armor of God.
A prepared soldier will not go into battle without the appropriate armor. The potential for victory in battle hinges on suitable armor and appropriate weaponry. In the same way, the spiritual battle requires spiritual weapons.
The Whole Armor of God
The Word of God clearly instructs you to “put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). Then you are instructed, “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13). The remainder of this passage of Scripture describes each piece of essential armor and weaponry:
- Loins Girded with Truth (Ephesians 6:14)
The apostle Peter said to “gird up the loins of your mind” (1 Peter 1:13). Fill your mind with the Scriptures. Reading the Bible and meditating on the Word will protect you in your Christian walk.
- The Breastplate of Righteousness (Ephesians 6:14)
The breastplate covers the vital organs and speaks of the heart. The breastplate of righteousness fortifies the heart against the attacks of the Enemy. Allow the righteousness revealed in God’s Word to influence your mind and penetrate deeply into your heart. When the truth of the Bible touches your life, it brings transformation and renewal (Romans 12:2).
- Feet Shod with the Preparation of the Gospel of Peace (Ephesians 6:15)
The Word of God will affect your daily walk as it fills your mind, touches your heart, and is incorporated into your daily routine. So as you prepare for your day ahead, step into the Word, and let it strengthen your heart, mind, and soul with the truth.
- The Shield of Faith (Ephesians 6:16)
The enemy often seeks to attack your vulnerabilities, but faith shields you from all manner of evil. When your faith joins forces with the Word in your mind, heart, and life, you will “be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.” Armed with the Word of God and faith, you can withstand the onslaught of the Enemy and render his fiery darts ineffective.
- The Helmet of Salvation (Ephesians 6:17)
A military helmet protects the soldier’s head from injury in battle. Some mistakenly believe that the helmet deals with the mind, but the helmet of salvation deals with doctrine. What you believe is who you are. Once the truth enters your mind, touches your heart, affects your life and walk, and is manifested in your actions, it becomes your nature. When you put on your helmet of salvation, it protects your nature, your character, and your doctrine. Applying God’s Word also makes you balanced and stable. When proper doctrine is placed in your life, you will not be moved by error, taken by false teaching, or distracted by the tactics of the Enemy.
- The Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17)
As your life becomes strong and established, the sword of the Spirit becomes an offensive weapon against the Enemy. Unmovable, unshakable, and because of the truth within, you can stand victoriously against the Evil One and his army.
In three consecutive instances, Jesus Christ Himself used the Word of God as He resisted Satan’s temptation, saying, “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4, 6-7). Armed with the sword of the Spirit, you can take back the territory that belongs to you, including your family, your finances, and your health. God’s strength is sufficient for you, enabling you to do exploits and win every battle.
- Prayer and Supplication (Ephesians 6:18).
Prayer, the final weapon, is what keeps you. It is the prayer that covers and clothes you like a mantle. The Bible declares, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication.”
Seven Weapons of War
It is interesting to note that the first five pieces of armor have a defensive purpose in battle, while the remaining two pieces are specifically used in offensive action. Defensive armor provides protection for the soldier’s vital organs when facing the enemy in battle. From a spiritual perspective, the whole armor of God, applied and used properly, provides full protection and enables you to hold your ground against the enemy until victory is won!
Be Aware of Mighty Breakthroughs, Even as War Clouds Loom
We are at war! Yet out of the coming major events that are unfolding in the news every day, God is breaking forth in His glory. The Spirit of God is ready to invade nation after nation, but the time is short.
As 2021 continues to unfold dramatically, God is opening untold opportunities for you for increase, favor, creativity, and purpose. He is also bringing more and more believers under His abundant overflow. Together, you and I, with Partners around the globe, are doing remarkable things that were once thought impossible!
Already in 2021, we have seen powerful victories, especially in the area of social media, the Benny Hinn Institute, and Compassion for the Hungry. In recent months, multitudes of lost souls accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and testified of their healed bodies and restored families. Thousands have lined up in strategic places—California, Florida, Texas, and Pennsylvania— to be given boxes of groceries and supplies, and in the process, they have received the Gospel.
As the apostle, John said, “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work” (John 9:4). You and I have much to do. That is why the life-changing, miracle-filled Gospel of the blood of Jesus Christ must be preached now!
And even in the spiritual war, God wants you to be blessed so you can be a blessing beyond anything you have imagined!
Prepare Now by Putting God’s Principles into Practice!
If you and I are not vigilant and consistent in keeping our weapons sharp, great harm can come to us. But if you put into practice the principles I’m teaching you, you will not only succeed, but you will also prosper in every area of your life. You will receive health, financial breakthrough, and favor.
Faith is the key! Faith moves the hand of God!
Many people think that just because they have a need, they have God’s attention and He is obligated to meet it. That’s not true! Faith, prayer, and obedience get His attention, and He is obligated to move. He has staked everything on His Word, and He will never deny a syllable of it.
There is tremendous power in your seed. Giving is one of the ways you worship God and demonstrate your faith, showing Him you trust Him with your money.
God wants to be trusted and believed, just as He wants to trust and believe in you and me to be faithful in all things!
I’m challenging you to give big! Show God you mean it, and tell Him you trust Him with a large seed-gift.
Your breakthrough is in your hands!
Your seed protects you, feeds you, and helps meet your needs. But it is an idle, static force until it is planted.

This ministry is rich, fertile, verdant soil—the perfect place for planting.
I am asking you, from the deepest part of my heart, to give today for this mighty work of God so we can continue to make advance preparations for each ministry effort and take the good news of Jesus Christ through the awesome doors being opened to you and me.
And whatever need you have in your life, make the divine connection between your need and your seed, knowing that Jesus Himself promised:
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you. (Luke 6:38)
I love you beyond words. You are my precious partner, and every day I pray for victory for you and your family. Thank you for all you do for our wonderful Master, Jesus.
Yours for the cause of reaching the world for our precious Lord Jesus,
