Today’s Key Scripture

“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”

— Psalm 91:15

Are you bound or oppressed? Are you tired of the bondage that has wrapped itself around your soul?

If you will only call on Him today, you will find He is looking down from heaven to hear your cry and loosen the chains of death that have held you. You will find Him ready and able, for you will hear His voice saying, “It is I; do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27), and He will lift you out of your storm and cause the sun to shine again.

The prophet Jeremiah said: “I called on Your name, O Lord, from the lowest pit. You have heard my voice: ‘Do not hide Your ear from my sighing, from my cry for help.’ You drew near on the day I called on You, and said, ‘Do not fear!’” (Lamentations 3:55-57).

Like Jeremiah, you can hear His voice the day you call. It will give you supernatural protection from judgment and condemnation.

Corrie ten Boom used to say, “There is no pit so deep that Jesus is not deeper still.”

Only prayer and spending time in His presence can lift us up above the troubles we face and put us back on the mountaintop.

A Prayer for Today

Mighty Father, there is no other God like You. I’m so grateful that You sent Your Son to purchase my salvation on the cross of Calvary. I’m thankful that You sent Your Holy Spirit to be my Helper, Guide, and Protector. You are my Fortress and Defender. I will run to You always, knowing that no one can snatch me from Your hand. In You will I trust. Keep me mindful of the ways I can glorify You, even as I strive to be holy, even as Christ is holy. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
