Key Scripture
“Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight.”
— Leviticus 26:8
The Word declares, “One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you” (Joshua 23:10). In Deuteronomy 32:30, the proportion becomes even more astounding, for one will chase a thousand “and two put ten thousand to flight.”
It is a scriptural principle that when we come into agreement with God and other believers, the power multiplies supernaturally.
God used a praying Gideon, a united 300 men, trumpets, and torches inside clay jars to rout the entire army of the neighboring oppressors, the Midianites, and Amalekites. And even more impressively, our Lord Jesus took a handful of followers and literally spread the Gospel throughout the known world, eventually touching the entire globe with the message of salvation.
How does the power in your life increase in such a miraculous way? The apostle Paul wrote, “Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me” (Romans 15:30). He knew, as we must realize, that the key to supernatural multiplication begins when believers unite in prayer.
A Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I magnify Your name, because You never fail to keep Your promises and prophecies. Thank You for the privilege of glorifying You every day. I pray for the body of Christ to rejoice as we help each other to get up when we fall, as we encourage each other when we succeed, and as we work together to produce an eternal harvest. Beginning with me, I ask that each believe will strive to contribute to the advancement of the kingdom. Unite us toward our goal of reaching the lost, hurting, and needy. In Jesus’ name, amen.
