Today’s Key Scripture
“He puts his hand on the flint; He overturns the mountains at the roots. He cuts out channels in the rocks, and his eye sees every precious thing. He dams up the streams from trickling; what is hidden he brings forth to light.”
— Job 28:9-11
It is only as we pray and spend time in God’s presence that obstacles are revealed and revoked from our paths. It is there He makes for us a way of escape and sends His power to bring us out of difficult situations.
It is as we seek Him that He binds floods from overflowing over our lives, protecting and keeping us, disclosing to us His love and His will, for the thing that is hidden He brings forth to light.
Prayer is the only place of protection, deliverance, and revelation:
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. (Psalm 91:1-7, KJV)
God wants to light your path. Are you willing to spend time in the “secret place of the most High” and see with spiritual eyes?
A Prayer for Today
Father God, when I feel uncertain about what I’m facing, I am thankful that I can rely on Your wisdom and direction. When I’m surrounded by noise, distractions, and spiritual attacks, I am confident in You to guide me and help me to cope with all that is unfolding around me. I ask for Your constant presence. I desire the peace that only you can give. Help me focus on You instead of my concerns. Sustain me when I grow tired from the battles. I know that I can put my trust in you. Grant me Your strength and provision so that I never become overtaken by the unknown. I pray all this in the name above all names, Jesus, amen.
