Responsible for ensuring proper recording of financial and business transactions. Analyzes data for financial reporting. Prepares books for audit, year-end close and tax filings.  Some review/direction of team member work. Significant GL clean-up project that will require this individual to reconcile accounts over multiple years. Reports to Comptroller.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
  • Lead audit work and communication for all international and domestic offices
  • Analyze, setup and depreciate fixed assets
  • Perform closing procedures for year-end
  • Compile tax returns and governmental filings for international and domestic offices
  • Prepare journal entries and re-class entries as needed
  • Reconciliations and review: balance sheet, bank, expense postings, payroll accounts, etc
  • Maintain accounts receivable
  • Value inventory
  • Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
  • Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
  • Report analysis and findings to management team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience of 5+ years with thorough knowledge and understanding of Accounting theory and practice
  • Experience and proficiency in non-profit sector strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Accounting software (preferably Great Plains); experience in implementation of software and troubleshooting a plus
  • Self-starter with ability to work well independently or collaboratively
  • Ability to create and work in moderate to complex spreadsheets
  • Experience working with foreign exchange and inter-company accounts preferred
  • Person of integrity with the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Detail and deadline oriented with keen analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
