Today’s Key Scripture

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

— John 14:1-3

By spending time in God’s presence right now we have the ability to break the barriers of time and enter a place without limits—into the deeper dimension of eternity.

Heaven has no beginning or end, and it is our future because we have accepted God’s gift of salvation. “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession” (Hebrews 4:14).

How do we “hold fast?” Through prayer and staying in God’s presence.

Paul tells us to “fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses…storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life” (1 Timothy 6:12,19).

We are told to always be ready for the Rapture. Jesus warned, “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape” (Luke 21:36).

What a great moment to be alive! The great prophecies are rapidly being fulfilled, and Jesus is about to return. “The end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers” (1 Peter 4:7).

Get ready for God’s great eternity!

A Prayer for Today

Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise today of eternity with You forever! Keep me strong, even as I seek to become more dependent upon You. You are my Refuge and Fortress, so help me to walk on Your path with certainty and purity. And may I rest upon Your eternal promises, day by day, to be unafraid to walk boldly in Your light, knowing that I can do all things that You want me to do as You protect me from the Evil One. I pray this in the name of Jesus, amen.
