Today’s Key Scripture

“Your throne has been established from the beginning; you are from eternity. The floods have lifted up, Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their pounding waves. Greater than the roar of a huge torrent—the mighty breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is majestic. Lord, your testimonies are completely reliable; holiness adorns your house for all the days to come.”

— Psalm 93:2-5, CSB

The Scriptures tell us clearly that God’s throne is forever!

It is God’s will to pour out blessings upon His children today. It is His desire for us to enjoy all the blessings of fellowship with Him, as well as divine health, abundance, and so much more.

Both the Old and New Testaments have much to say about the favor and blessings that come to those who live righteously.

For example, God’s ever-present disposition toward us is revealed in His covenant of healing with the children of Israel, when He said, “If you will carefully obey the Lord your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26, csb).

He said, “I am the Lord”—in present tense. He didn’t say, “I was,” not “I will be,” but “I am”!

God is ever-present and everlasting. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). There are no boundaries, limitations, or time constraints on God’s promises.

His promises to you for fellowshipping with Him—healing, health, and abundance—are the same today as to any past generation. And your testimony of His goodness can be very sure.

May God bless you abundantly as you dedicate extra time in close fellowship with Him.

A Prayer for Today

Good morning, Holy Spirit! I confess Your Word over my life. You’ve promised in Psalm 121:7-8 that You will preserve me from evil, that You will guard my soul, and that You will watch over me when I leave and when I return, “from this time forth, and even forevermore.” I want more of You today. And I thank You for victories both now and everlasting. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
