Whom Shall I Send

“I know that the success of getting the Gospel to the nations depends on obedience to His calling—not just my obedience but yours as well.”

The prophet Isaiah records this conversation between the Lord and himself, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me” (Isaiah 6:8).

Long ago, I said, “I will go, Lord. Send me!” And as I’ve now moved into my 46th year of ministry, I can tell you without reservation that I have kept that sacred commitment, and I will continue to do everything the Lord directs me to do to reach the nations until the day He takes me home. I know that the success of getting the Gospel to the nations depends on obedience to His calling—not just my obedience but yours as well.

“Until this heart of mine stops beating!”

Oh, dear partner, I’ve been told that 96 percent of all preachers currently in ministry live and work in the United States of America. How thankful we can be that so many in America are able to hear the Gospel. What a great blessing! Yet, if that statistic is true, then only 4 percent of all Gospel preachers today are left to minister to the remaining billions around the world.

I am hearing the cry of heaven in a greater way than I have ever known, especially since we are living in the end times. That cry for souls has invaded the depths of my heart, and I must go to the nations now to share the Gospel! Precious souls by the billions are waiting, many of whom have never heard the Good News even once.

Our Lord Jesus said, “Shout it from the housetops!” (Matthew 10:27, NLT). That’s what we must do now while there is still daylight. As more and more souls slip into eternity without God, and as Christ’s coming quickly approaches, the urgency to share the Gospel grows stronger and stronger!

“As I go, you go with me!”

Remember, as you give for the Gospel you help me:

• “Shout it from the housetops” loud and clear that Jesus saves, Jesus heals, and Jesus is coming again!

• Take the Gospel message of salvation—the greatest miracle of all—to multiplied millions, even billions, around the world.

• Bring liberty to the captives, opening prison doors to those enslaved in sin and releasing them to a new life in Christ!

I beg you. Please don’t stop giving, for by your giving, many are now living! And as you keep giving, many more will come to know this life-giving and miracle-working Jesus, our wonderful Lord!

You’ve often heard me quote this passage that promises how God will multiply your seed as you sow it:

God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done … This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God. (2 Corinthians 9:8, 10)

This powerful promise of multiplication is direct from the Bible, and it applies to every area of your life—spiritual, emotional, physical, relational, and certainly financial! And our Lord gives you that special harvest so that you can be extravagantly generous with your giving again and again in the future.

He wants to bless you so you can be a blessing!

Because this promise is straight from God—not an opinion from me or any other preacher—I stand in agreement with you for an abundant harvest of souls as well as a harvest of blessings in your life in the name of Jesus. Amen!

Sow your seed today with living and expectant faith, and watch God “open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10).

“Now, while there is still time!”

As the end of 2019 nears and we look forward to what God has in store for us in 2020, the words Jesus spoke in His Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20) should burn deeply in the heart of every believer!

And as the world’s clock ticks urgently and unceasingly toward eternity, I am hearing the cry of heaven in a greater way than I have ever known.

I know I can only do so much. You can only do so much. Yet together, we can truly impact this generation for Christ.
