Seven Blessings of Psalm 41

“When everything seems to be falling apart, when troubles come from every direction, when everything looks hopeless…remember that God is in control.”

God’s kindness and truth remain constant, regardless of the circumstances surrounding us! The psalmist David wrote of God’s consistent graciousness, which brought comfort to him even as he experienced unkindness, hatred, and betrayal from those around him.

If we are to be victorious in every situation, we must lay hold of God’s precious promises to comfort, guide, and uphold us.

Discover the 7 blessings of God given to us in the first three verses of Psalm 41—blessings that I want to share in this brief message to you today.

All these 7 blessings of God are dependent upon this introductory phrase: “Blessed is he who considers the poor” (Psalm 41:1 NKJV).

What are the 7 blessings of God from Psalm41 that depend upon those who reach out to the poor, hurting, and lost?

Psalm 41 Blessing #1: God wants to deliver you, even in times of trouble. (verse 2)

The Psalmist wrote, “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance” (Psalm 32:7).

He also shared God’s promise: “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me” (Psalm 50:15).

Psalm 41 Blessing #2: God will preserve you. (verse 2)

We are told later in Psalms:

The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. The LORD preserves all who love Him, But all the wicked He will destroy. (Psalm 145:18-20)

Psalm 41 Blessing #3: He will keep you alive. (verse 2)

Our Lord promises safety and security: “He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge” (Psalm 91:4).

No matter what happens, a believer knows that even physical death does not conquer, but ushers you into life everlasting.

Psalm 41 Blessing #4: You will be blessed on the earth. (verse 2)

We have the blessings of the New Covenant right now. We have even more blessings to come. Whether we are in heaven someday or on earth momentarily, we are blessed beyond measure: “Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out” (Deuteronomy 28:6 KJV).

Psalm 41 Blessing #5: The Lord will not deliver you to the will of your enemies. (verse 2)

Satan, the enemy of your soul, roams about as a roaring lion, seeking to devour you (1 Peter 5:8). Wicked people and persecutors may attack you, but God’s hand will sustain His followers. Even the gates of hell shall not prevail against you (Matthew 16:18).

Psalm 41 Blessing #6: The Lord will strengthen you on your bed of illness. (verse 3)

Even during sickness, when your natural strength fails you, the Lord will bring strength to help you recover:

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-19)

Psalm 41 Blessing #7: The Lord will heal you, even on your sickbed. (verse 3)

He is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals you! He tells us, “For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26 NLT). He provides not only healing for today, but the ultimate healing forever and ever!

When everything seems to be falling apart, when troubles come from every direction, when everything looks hopeless…remember that God is in control: “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him” (Hebrews 7:25).

He will not abandon you, forsake you, or leave you. He will save you to the “uttermost.” Victory is yours!

The Secret to Victory

Look back at Psalm 41:1. Those who minister to the lost and hurting touch the heart of God. David certainly had that heart for reaching out to others. Those who give to reach others have a special place in God’s heart.

Nearly 45 years ago, I began serving my wonderful Lord in this glorious ministry. It was in those early days that I began to understand that true biblical victory, especially in the area of abundance, is not an accident. It is a decision based on the Word of God that we as believers must make, even when things aren’t going right.

I discovered long ago that God’s laws concerning giving and receiving are fixed, immutable laws that no man and no circumstance can change. The Lord has promised that when we sow seed in faith toward the spread of the Gospel, we will reap a harvest. That is an unfailing and eternal promise that cannot be broken.

Breakthrough success comes from the Lord:

Thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day. (Deuteronomy 8:18)

I want you, as my partner, to be aware of these crucial times David referred to in Psalm 41 and understand the important keys to success that will allow you to participate freely in the great outpouring that is beginning to happen.

Three Keys to Giving

The true secret is giving according to God’s plan:

• Give with a faith-filled heart to help take the Gospel to the lost, needy, and hurting. Jesus often talked about the power of seed that is planted in faith: “If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). Victory may look impossible today, but the Lord we serve—the God of miracles—has a miraculous plan of overcoming all your challenges, and it is designed especially for you!

• Plant your seed for a specific harvest. Success cannot be left to chance. Biblical protection and blessing come as a result of obeying God, believing His Word, and stepping out in faith with your giving: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).

• Be obedient in your giving. Moses and the children of Israel were told, “All these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God” (Deuteronomy 28:2). They believed it, and the gold became as dust and rocks in the land. Throughout the Bible, open and obedient hearts built a powerful legacy that moved from generation to generation, extending from Abraham to Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, and beyond. Today, as before, those who obey and give freely are rewarded freely.

This isn’t just about money. Far from it! It’s what your gift does that attracts heaven’s attention.

And it can happen for you in every area of your life as you give toward the spread of the Gospel through the fertile soil of this worldwide ministry!

By Any Means Possible

As our Interactive Ministry Department in our Dallas office is more and more crucial to the future of this ministry with each passing day. We have accelerated our expansion of this medium because of the generous gifts of our partners who recognize the effectiveness of this and emerging technologies. Because of our collective efforts, Benny Hinn Ministries is reaching more souls than I could have ever imagined.

Television

I recently announced plans to build a studio in Dallas that will give another wonderful location in a central site (in addition to monthly meetings in California) for monthly healing and teaching services that will be broadcast via the Impact Network (adding an additional 80 million homes to our reach, including every cable system in America, plus DirectTV and Dish!). In addition to our website and social media expansion, God is allowing us to use new opportunities in television to share not only the message of salvation but also the miracle-working and healing power of the Holy Spirit. And it’s happening right now!

Media Production

Our This Is Your Day programs, social media broadcasts, and live webcasts of teaching, worship, miracles, personal ministry, and prayer, all allow us to go where I could not go physically, especially in areas otherwise closed to the Gospel. God is using our media again and again to overcome geographical barriers and reach people around the world by targeting their private mobile phones and other devices. To Him be all the praise!

Media Development

Thousands upon thousands of hours of video content have already been converted to digital media and readily available to those who don’t have easy access to teachings on healing, the Holy Spirit, the anointing, and other topics that change lives. These programs include BHM classics offering (some for the first time) a vast and ever-expanding array of timeless teaching and ministry programs online. Many of these are now available in multiple languages. Much of this content is free to all, helping us to reach and teach more people of all cultures and ages who may otherwise not be able to access or afford these valuable, life-changing materials.

Children’s Homes

Because of your faithfulness in giving, Benny Hinn Ministries continues to operate My Father’s House in Manila, Philippines (founded in October 2000) and My Father’s House near Tulancingo, Mexico (started in May 2005), each providing for 100-150 abandoned and parent-less children. My Father’s House children’s homes were built from the ground up through the support of our partners, and these wonderful facilities include dormitories, administrative buildings, cafeterias, chapels, and vocational training areas where hundreds of children of all ages can learn a trade while being nurtured in God’s love.

The Next Generation

Something is happening right now that no one seems to be able to explain! An exciting new chapter of this ministry is emerging! The evil forces of the world have done everything possible to pull young people away from Christ and the foundations of the Bible, but I’m seeing a fresh wave of the Holy Spirit sweeping over our precious youth! Oh, how my heart joins them in longing for a worldwide revival. How I yearn to see the hand of God move in unprecedented ways over the face of the earth. And I believe what we are seeing among the young people today is a foretaste of the amazing outpouring of revival that He is preparing for the days ahead. Young people don’t watch near as much television as past generations. Most of them live on their cell phones, iPads, and notebooks. We are already reaching record numbers of young people through social media. We have many youth services and conferences planned, as well. This can be one of our ministry’s finest hours if we respond correctly by inspiring, equipping, and mentoring today’s youth!

The greatest preachers and prophets of days gone by have talked about and longed for days when people of all nations and ages around the world would suddenly begin turning to God in unparalleled numbers.

Because of what God is doing through you and this ministry, it’s happening right before our eyes!

Blessings Others, Blessing You

This ministry, with your help, is blessings others beyond measure. And because you are helping to bless others in unprecedented ways, I truly believe that God wants to bless you in ways far greater even than the seven blessings I’ve shared in this special email to you.

Look again at Psalm 41:1. All seven blessings from that chapter are dependent upon the introductory phrase: “Blessed is he who considers the poor” (verse 1 NKJV). Those who minister to the lost and hurting touch the heart of God. Those who give to reach others have a special place in His heart.

This principle of being blessed by blessings others is threaded throughout the Bible. We are promised:

God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done… This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God. (2 Corinthians 9:10-11, MSG)

As you give to this ministry for the spread of the Gospel and to help the needy and hopeless, God promises to pour out His blessings on you so you can bless others even more. You simply cannot out-give God!

Trigger God’s outpouring in your life! Sow your seed as a step of faith with mighty expectation for today and the future, for our Lord Jesus declared:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (Luke 6:38)

Wrap your seed with your faith and sow it with cheerful excitement, for He has promised that as you obey Him, God will give you back financial blessings so great that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10).

Yes, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is free, but the means of getting out the message is very expensive—more costly than it has ever been during the past 45 years of this ministry. And in today’s fast-changing world, we will have even less time to change. We must move with quickness and cost effectiveness to take the Good News of salvation to the needy, poor, and hurting souls wherever they are around the globe.

Oh, precious partner, my heart is broken for those who don’t know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, especially those who have never heard the Gospel even once. I need your help.

We have so much to do!

We must do even more to reach a lost and hurting world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Now is not the time to draw back or be satisfied. More than ever, we are called to proclaim the saving and healing message of the Gospel, to “shout it from the rooftops” (Matthew 10:27) through every means available.

Today, there are millions, even billions in the world who are calling out for God, seeking answers, and pleading for deliverance. They are looking for hope, but no hope is in sight. They are begging for answers, but no answers are found. They are searching for light, yet they are imprisoned in darkness.

It is our duty, job, and privilege to broadcast and travel to those places where those dear souls are crying out. It is our responsibility to tell them that Jesus Christ is the Answer. It is our calling to preach the Gospel to them before it is eternally too late.

Together we can accomplish God’s agenda for this generation through our continued expansion of areas I’ve mentioned, especially through the internet and social media, television, media production and development, children’s homes, and as we equip the next generation of leaders.

With God help and anointing, we can make an impact for all eternity!

Together we can do our part, give our best, and surrender our all to our wonderful Jesus, to whom belongs our lives, our gifts, our talents, our all.

Missions is the heart of this ministry, and I believe I can count on you.
