Can you believe what has happened during the past few days? Breathlessly and unceasingly, news outlets have issued moment-by-moment alerts of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Suddenly, we’ve all endured an endless barrage of reports:

• Deserted streets in places such as China and Italy
• Quarantined cruise ships with thousands stranded aboard
• Record stock market plunges and rallies, one day after the other
• Cancelled flights
• Worried educators and closed schools
• Shelves emptied of disinfectants, hand sanitizers, water, food, and toilet paper
• Already jittery oil prices in a freefall as Middle East tensions increase

And have you ever seen as many photographs and news reports of people wearing masks everywhere—streets, home, airplanes, concerts, restaurants—everywhere?

And all of this, fueled largely by fear, both real and imagined, has seemingly taken place overnight with little warning.

Birth Pains in the Last Days?

Again and again during the past few days, my mind has returned to what our Lord Jesus said about epidemics, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, signs in the heavens, and growing fears in the face of all the growing uncertainty:

There will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. (Luke 21:25-28, nkjv)

And at this moment, as the world is increasingly shaken to its foundations with increasing intensity, for believers, today’s fast-paced events will bring unprecedented opportunities!

God wants to bless believers in unimagined ways so we can bless the nations as we proclaim the Gospel!

So, how should a believer respond to all that is happening?

What To Do

With all these signs of the times around us, what should we do?

Run to the hills? Ignore the world problems? Be overwhelmed by fear? Retreat from the world and cloister ourselves exclusively with other believers?

No! No! No! Absolutely not!

I can tell you, based upon God’s eternal Word, the Creator of the universe is not surprised by anything that is happening, nor has He been caught off-guard by the world’s reactions. And the Lord has a plan for us today—right now—especially in the midst of what’s happening all around us.

Faithful partner, our Lord Jesus is calling believers during this hour to stand strong, to seek a greater anointing, to move forward in faith, and to understand that we have been called to fulfill His Great Commandment during this hour. We live in a time that the prophets, evangelists, and Bible teachers taught about, and we see opportunities within our grasp that even the most futuristic of God’s generals could have never imagined humanly possible.

At this moment, the world is increasingly shaken to its foundations with increasing intensity, caused by fears of impending pandemics and economic and political systems being turned upside down.

Now it is up to us. With Bible prophecy being fulfilled every day, what should we do?

What must we do?

Begin at Home

Make a difference, beginning today, by taking the authority given to you in the Word of God and proclaiming health, healing, protection, and favor over your household.

What God has placed on my heart for you and directed me to share today are verses for healing and protection that could bring you hope and build your faith, even as it has for me during the past few days.

There are multitudes of proven, powerful promises for healing and health given to you from Genesis to Revelation. Here are seven of my favorite verses (all NKJV) that I pray over my loved ones and myself, no matter what circumstances are swirling around us:

Proclamations and Verses of Healing to Pray

1. God heals and protects my loved ones and myself from diseases. “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you” (Exodus 15:26).

2. God sets my household apart. “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling” (Psalm 91:10).

3. God gave His Son for my family’s healing. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

4. God heals and saves all my loved ones as we praise Him. “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise” (Jeremiah 17:14).

5. God provides our peace and safety as He heals us. “Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” (Jeremiah 33:6).

6. God saves, heals, and rescues my loved ones and me. “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:19-20).

7. God promises to hear and act upon my prayers. “O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me” (Psalm 30:2).

There are so many more wonderful verses that you can claim for your loved ones and yourself, knowing that we can have faith in the face of fear!

Granted, maybe you didn’t grow up in a household of faith that believed in miracles. Neither did I. However, during the past 46 years of ministry, I’ve seen people walk out of wheelchairs, throw away hearing aids, describe vividly how tumors disappeared, and so much more that would take many books to fill.

I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God wants to perform miracles of healing for you. His Word declares it, experience confirms it, and evidence verifies it!

Just remember that what we call extraordinary is ordinary to God. What we call supernatural is natural to Him. And what we refer to as a healing miracle is an everyday occurrence to the One who spoke the world into existence and designed each of us according to His plan.

In addition to proclaiming health and healing in your household of faith, what else can you and I do?

Help Take the Gospel to the Ends of the Earth

As fear and uncertainty spreads, this can be our finest hour. I truly believe that God has appointed this moment in time for us to shine the Light of the World around the globe.

Before He ascended into heaven, our Lord Jesus Christ gave us specific instructions on what to do, especially during the last days. He said:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)

Jesus also said, “This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). And Jesus commands us, “Occupy till I come” (Luke 19:13, kjv).

As the signs of the time intensify, we must strengthen our efforts to reach the world of with the message of God’s saving grace through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We must continue proclaiming the Gospel! That’s why we weren’t whisked up to heaven the moment we accepted Christ as Savior and Lord. We are still here for a profound reason:

God also says: “When the time’s ripe, I answer you.
When victory’s due, I help you.
I form you and use you to reconnect the people with me,
To put the land in order, to resettle families on the ruined properties.
I tell prisoners, ‘Come on out. You’re free!’ and those huddled in fear, ‘It’s all right. It’s safe now.’” (Isaiah 49:8-9, msg)

The ultimate victory will come when the Lord returns. In the meantime, those who proclaim the Gospel bring the message of deliverance, healing, and salvation to people wherever we go, regardless of the circumstances.

This is what the Gospel does! The Gospel is the power of God. When you understand the power of the Gospel, you knew that through the preaching of His Word comes the power to deliver, the power to heal, the power to rescue, and the power to take people out of the hands of Satan himself.

This is what the world desperately needs today, more than ever before!

Our Burden and Responsibility

The Word of God tells us, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13; Joel 2:32). God’s offer of salvation belongs to all, and the Lord is rich to all who call upon His name for salvation and deliverance from sin.

The problem is, there are prisoners of sin, fear, and hopelessness all around us. They are crying out in desperation for salvation. Yet there aren’t many of us preaching the Gospel to them.

God gives us a burden for the lost and dying. And each of us can play a crucial part in His end-times mission.

God’s Word tells us that salvation comes as men and women call upon the Lord. However, people cannot believe unless they hear the Gospel. And the Gospel cannot be heard unless someone is sent.

The Lord asks, “Whom shall I send, and who will for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me” (Isaiah 6:8).

Long ago, I said, “I will go, Lord. Send me!” I’ve stayed faithful to that sacred calling, and I will keep that holy commitment I made so many years ago until the day the Lord takes me home. That’s because I know the success of getting the Gospel to the nations depends upon our obedience to Him.

God, please give us that burden today!

People everywhere are ready for someone to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them. The opportunities are everywhere! That is why I ask you to be part of what God is doing around the world right now through our Miracle Crusades, TV broadcasts, and mission outreaches.

The time to go to the nations is now, not later! Our time is running out as eternity’s hourglass sand sifts downward.

My Requests to You

Let me ask you to send a supernatural offering today to help me continue taking the Good News of the Gospel to the nations by every means possible:

• Sow a seed today with living and expectant faith, and watch God “open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” And as you obey the Lord today, I’m agreeing with you that He will bring the greatest season of blessing you have experienced.
• Plant seed for a specific harvest. Success cannot be left to chance. Biblical protection and blessing come as a result of obeying God, believing His Word, and stepping out in faith with your giving: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). What better time is there than right now?
• Be obedient in your giving. Moses and the children of Israel were told, “All these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God” (Deuteronomy 28:2, kjv). They believed it, and the gold became as dust and rocks in the land. Throughout the Bible, open and obedient hearts built a powerful legacy that moved from generation to generation, extending from Abraham to Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, David, and beyond. Today, as before, those who obey will be rewarded that far exceeds human imagination.

This isn’t just about money. Far from it! It’s what your gift does that attracts heaven’s attention. And it can happen for you in every area of your life as you give toward the spreading of the Gospel through the fertile soil of this worldwide ministry!
