Today’s Key Scripture
“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!”
— Matthew 7:11
Because more and more people understand the value of prayer and intimacy, the Holy Spirit has begun pouring Himself out more and more upon the church. Chains are being broken! Victories are being won!
Everywhere I travel I am amazed to see what God is doing. The Holy Spirit is being poured out on this generation as more and more believers are becoming mighty prayer warriors, asking for the anointing of God that brings liberty, and seeking the miraculous in the lives of God’s people.
Promises of this greater anointing are given throughout God’s Word, including in the Old Testament: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” (Isaiah 10:27, KJV).
The word destroyed in this verse gives the picture of something turning into dust and blowing away in the wind. In Hebrew, the word for destroyed goes a step further, and even gives the picture of something that is totally gone and forgotten.
The anointing destroys the misery you have experienced because of Satan’s power. The anointing shatters the yoke of sin that has bound you. And once the anointing destroys it, it will never be remembered or seen again.
Ask for that anointing!
A Prayer for Today
God, I choose to delight in You today! Even if I stumble, I am confident that I will not fall because You have promised to uphold me with Your hand. No matter what happens today, I rest in Your promise that You are my Provider and Protector! Nothing and no one can keep me from You and the greater anointing that I ask of You today. Anoint me for Your purpose and glory. Give me confidence to do Your works, knowing that whatever I do I seek to do everything in Jesus’ name and authority, amen.
