The Message of The Cross

By Benny Hinn

When we consider what happened at Calvary's Cross, these three things stand out:

  1. 1. The sin of mankind nailed Jesus to the cross. All mankind was responsible for the crucifixion of our Savior. The Roman soldiers, the people watching, as well as you and I are guilty, for it was our sins---collectively and individually---that caused Him to come to the earth to give Himself willingly as the ultimate sacrifice.
  2. God's love is overwhelming. It was at the Cross where both God the Father and Jesus His Son gave history's greatest gift.
  3. The Savior willingly gave Himself to become mankind's only door to the Father. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

Knowledge-Based Faith

By Smith Wigglesworth
a4_99999171Nothing in the world glorifies God as much as simple rest of faith in what God's Word says. "This is the work of God, that you believe." Jesus said, "My Father has been working until now, and I have been working" (John 5:17). He saw the way the Father did the works; it was on the groundwork of knowledge, faith based upon knowledge. When I know Him, there are so many promises I can lay hold of, and then there is no struggle, "for [he] who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened" (Matt. 7:8).

Jesus lived to manifest God's glory in the earth, to show forth what God is like, so that many sons might be brought to glory (Heb. 2:10). The Son came, and in the power of the Holy Spirit revealed faith.

Trading Your Pain

CBN.com - "We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly. God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him." (1 John 4:16-17, TLB)

When you come before the Lord in prayer part of you empties out. That part is filled with the heartaches, hurts, soreness, grief, and agonies you've experienced throughout your life. As you pour the pain in your heart out to God, He refills your inner being or spirit with Himself. God is love (1 John 4:16) and great healing is within Him (Psalm 103:1-5).

It's a trade. You give God your pain, He heals you and refills your heart with His purpose. You lay down your fear, and God fills your heart with faith. You give God your sin, He gives you His sanctification. An exchange takes place.
