I recently talked to a man who experienced a glorious healing from colon cancer more than two years ago. We were discussing how marvelous it is to be touched by God’s miracle-working power, and to step from death into life as health is restored by God’s grace.
As I listened to him talk about his miracle and the time since, I heard him say something very important.
He said that he never fails to thank God each day for his healing and to testify to others about God’s healing touch.
He never takes his miracle or his health for granted. He thanks God for health and healing for today and every day.

Jesus Christ did not come with a life-shortening suggestion but with a life-saving power. His highest wish is for us to prosper and have health in both soul and body. He said, Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prosperth (3 John 2).
The story of Jesus is the story of deliverance. In the power of His pure and healthy being and in the strength of an undivided personality, the Master of men came into this world to bring release to man from his fears and frustrations, from his spiritual, physical, and mental illnesses, and to make him a whole man.
The healing that Jesus brings is more than spiritual, more than mental, more than physical-it is those and more. His healing is to make us "whole"-healthy in soul, mind and body, healthy in our relationships with others, in our attitudes, our habits, in our way of life, all the days of our lives.

When the psalmist called upon all that was within him to bless the Lord, he cried, "Bless the Lord,... who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases" (Ps. 103:2-3). When Isaiah foretold the deliverance of his people, he added, "The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick; the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity" (Isa. 33:24).
This prediction was accomplished beyond all anticipation when Jesus the Redeemer came down to this earth. How numerous were the healings brought about by Him who had come to establish on earth the kingdom of heaven!
By His own acts and afterward by the commands that He left for His disciples, He showed us clearly that the preaching of the Gospel and the healing of the sick went together in the salvation that He came to bring.
