As I study the amazing love of our heavenly Father for us, my heart leaps in praise to God. When I think again of the abundance that He so desires to bestow on His obedient children, I am humbled in the presence of such great love.
I know that like me you long to experience the fullness of His love. Otherwise you wouldn't have put in the time and effort to follow me on this journey to learn about the Father's desire to bring prosperity into our lives.
Yet perhaps you may be struggling deep inside. As much as you want to obey the Lord in the area of biblical giving, you just can't see how it's possible. Or you know, as I do, that with God nothing is impossible, but you don't know where to begin. God has called me to preach His glorious Word, and I want to do something that is a little bit different for me. I want to give you very concrete suggestions about how you can start on the biblical road to blessing. It is an old saying but a true one that a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. In a nutshell, here is how to get on the biblical road to blessing:

I was walking through a local business this week when I came across a radio station promotion. The two morning DJs from a top local radio station were doing a public appearance. I previously have worked on projects with one of the guys, who I knew to be a humble and generous guy. I decided to have a little fun with him. I approached him and said, “Hi, my self-esteem is dependent on local celebrities somehow acknowledging me, to give my life a sense of meaning. Would you mind just affirming me for a moment? My name’s Tom, by the way.”My friend burst out laughing, and I joined in, but I noticed that his on-air partner was staring at me. Once he realized that I knew his partner, he relaxed a bit. But he said, “You wouldn’t believe how often we hear that. You’re just the first person who said it out loud.” |

In 3 John 2, the author writes, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."
God wants you to be a living example of His prosperity---a prosperity that includes both spiritual abundance and financial blessings. He wants you to be prsperous in spite of what's not in your pocket. In spite of what kind of car you drive. In spite of what kind of home you live in. In spite of what kind of clothes you wear. He wants you to have a prosperity anchored in the reality that money is only a tool, a test and a testimony for the true riches that lie beyond the material confines of this decaying world.
