Excitement spread during recent months with word that Benny Hinn Ministries would be holding three services at the sports complex known as the Plaza de Toros Monumental de Valencia. Astounding reports from the services in Venezuela point to a historic crusade of powerful preaching, salvations, and healing miracles.

A total of over 300,000 people attended the services at the Plaza de Toros Monumental de Valencia. The president of the Supreme Court, the governor, and numerous top government dignitaries were there as well to see what many are calling “one of the most historic crusades ever.”

There was great enthusiasm among the people, especially as Pastor Benny began each service with the singing of the Venezuelan national anthem to honor their country. The choir of over 1,000 were dressed in their national colors. The brilliant colors of red, blue, yellow, and white, representing their flag, created a beautiful backdrop behind the platform.

During one of the services a group of dancers from the host church shared a traditional Venezuelan dance. Their dynamic presentation was inspirational and well-received by Pastor Benny and everyone in attendance.

From the first night’s service, anticipation filled the air. Immediately, amazing things begin happening throughout the audience.

DEAD LEGS COME ALIVE
“The Plaza was packed,” Pastor Henry Hinn reported after the first service concluded. “Where there is faith and such expectancy, miracles happen. And as my brother Benny spoke on the subject of faith, the expectancy filled the place. As he spoke, I felt led to go into the audience. As I walked back there in the darkness, there was a family who literally compelled me, through an interpreter, to come pray for a woman they had brought on a stretcher. She had been paralyzed from the waist down for more than three years, since the birth of her baby. I reached down to lay hands on her and her legs were dead, like dead rubber. The top half of her body was alive, and her hands were stretched out to the Lord as she prayed for the bottom half to come alive; but the bottom half of her body was completely dead. It was lifeless. I had been asking the Lord, as my brother Benny preached on faith, for the Lord to do a great miracle that would open the door for an outpouring of miracles.”

The young lady had been injured during the birth of her child three years before, and she had been unable to care for herself since then. Her paralysis had made it necessary for her to wear a diaper. She had never been able to hold her little girl, and she shared that her husband had left her soon after she was paralyzed, because he was unwilling to care for her. Her family stepped in and cared for her and her daughter since the little girl’s birth.

When she had asked her family to bring her to the crusade, she said her brother responded with, “It’s a waste of time! Nothing will happen!”

"As I prayed for the young woman,” Pastor Henry recalls vividly, “I asked the Lord to let His life flow through those legs. Literally, in front of everyone all around who was watching, her legs came alive! In an instant, she went from being paralyzed to being able to move her legs; then she stood up and began walking around! The family went wild. People all around were overwhelmed. I wanted Benny to see what had happened, so we started toward the platform. The crowd was packed tight, so I finally lifted her up and carried her to the stage. As my brother and all the people heard her testimony, faith exploded throughout the Plaza. As the story of her miracle began to unfold, she wept tears of joy and lifted her hands in praise as her weak legs moved slowly across the platform, one step at a time. By that time her family had reached the platform, and the woman lifted her daughter, holding her baby up and standing there for the first time since giving birth! Everyone was crying and shouting! Suddenly miracles began happening all over the place. There was an electric atmosphere for healing! What happened as Benny brought more and more people onstage was unlike anything I have seen!”

A TORRENT OF MIRACLES
Miracles filled the Plaza, and as Pastor Benny Hinn invited those who had been healed to come to the platform to testify what had happened, a huge number of people pressed forward, including these:

• The pastors and dignitaries on the platform were overwhelmed as Pastor Benny talked with a little 4-year-old boy who had been paralyzed since birth, then was suddenly able to stand and walk! His family was jumping all around, rejoicing at what had just happened.
• A 19-year-old girl had been born with scoliosis. She came to the crusade hunched over, in severe pain. As miracles began happening, her spine popped and she stood up straight for the first time in her life! She was able to walk without pain.
• A lady in her late fifties had been afflicted with Parkinson’s disease for several years. Her daughter explained how her mother had been shaking so much, getting worse as time passed, but suddenly it was as if the disease and its effects had been erased!

A torrent of miracle testimonies followed—deafness gone, crippled people able to walk, cancers eradicated, pain vanished, and many more!

“The miracles were so dramatic and overwhelming that they didn’t leave any doubt!” exclaimed one person who attended the service. “The healings were amazing. Faith soared. It was incredible! There was simply no room for doubt about what God did. It was an incredible demonstration of God’s power!”

THE LADY IN THE RED DRESS
Early in the second service, Pastor Benny inquired about the young lady who had been healed from paralysis the night before. A beautiful young lady wearing a vivid red dress stepped forward and moved toward Pastor Benny. As she neared the stage the crowd erupted with cheers of excitement and resounding applause. As she heard the crowd’s response, she lifted her hands and began to praise the Lord for what He had done for her and for the fact that many of her family members had received Jesus Christ as a result of what happened the night before!

Once the crowd quieted, Pastor Benny inquired about how her day had been. She told him that earlier that day she had gone to the mall with her daughter to buy a dress for the service. She said that she and her little girl ran hand-in-hand through the mall, as people looked at them, wondering why they were acting like that. She said she had never gotten to do that before and she didn’t care what people thought. She bought a new dress because she wanted to look good for Jesus and honor Him for what He had done for her.

When Pastor Benny asked her how she was feeling, she said, “You remember I had to wear a diaper before because I couldn’t control myself. I don’t need a diaper anymore! Some people might think that is a strange thing to say, but I don’t care. I’m not too proud to say that, because my Lord healed me, and I want to give Him all the glory! It doesn’t matter what has happened, because the devil has been defeated and the Lord has gained the victory!”

Moments later Pastor Benny asked about her family members and friends who had accompanied her the night before. They all quickly made their way to the platform, including her little daughter. Her father and mother joined them, too. One who came to the platform was her brother who had said it would be a complete waste of time to attend the service. As the brother stepped onto the platform, he ran toward his sister. Face to face, he grabbed her and lifted her off her feet, hugging her and weeping uncontrollably as he swung her around. After Pastor Benny learned who he was, he asked, “Are you a Christian?”

The brother put his sister down, and with his arm around her shoulder responded, “I wasn’t yesterday. I even told my sister it would be a waste of time to come. But after I saw what God did for my sister, I gave my heart to Jesus, so I’m a Christian now!”

Pastor Benny invited the young woman, along with her mother and father, to be seated on the platform for the remainder of the service. Pastor Benny and other staff members on the platform could see her face was constantly wet with tears, and her smile never faded as she looked heavenward with upraised hands, thanking God for what He had done for her and for what He was also doing for each one who came to the platform to testify of their miracle!

ANOTHER FLOOD OF MIRACLES
A new wave of miracles was ushered in during the remainder of the services:

• One of the most dramatic testimonies occurred when a martial artist came on stage to share how he had been injured and unable to move without great pain. Suddenly, as God’s healing power moved through the audience, he was able to walk and move with no pain at all. He began kicking and doing deft martial arts moves, thrilling the audience as they saw him rejoicing and moving athletically for the first time in years. Pastor Benny’s surprise at the sudden ability to move with such dexterity was apparent to all, especially as the man began running about the stage with such visible freedom.
• Another couple gave an amazing testimony. The middle-age man had been plagued with scoliosis for years. As he received his miracle and began rejoicing, he discovered that his wife had also been healed from blindness in her left eye!
• A woman, addicted to heroin, had planned to commit suicide. Instead, she came to the crusade and gave her life to Christ. She also had a painful, grapefruit-sized lump in her intestines, a result of extensive drug use. She was utterly amazed when it vanished! She testified that God had taken away the addiction to heroin, as well.
• A young boy, blind in his left eye, suddenly was able to see. Pastor Benny had the boy hold his hand over his right eye, then the boy shouted, “Uno…dos…tres…!” as Pastor Benny asked how many fingers he was holding up.
• A lady who had suffered for years with terrible pain from an accident still bore scars from a big gash in her head. She walked with a cane to steady herself, because her balance was extremely impaired and uncertain. During the service, all her pain left as God’s healing power touched her. Pain-free for the first time in years, she was able walk without the use of her cane.
• A woman with severe arthritis relied on a wheelchair because of her pain. During one of the services, she was freed from all pain and impairment. She stood from her wheelchair and began to walk without assistance, praising the Lord for her miracle as she walked back and forth!
• A lady with a large cancerous tumor on her stomach was instantly healed as the tumor shrunk and disappeared. A friend who had come to the service with her confirmed the severity of the woman’s condition as well as the diagnosis. The two women wept tears of joy as they shared what God had done for the woman.
• A man who had a brain tumor came to the crusade in a wheelchair because he suffered with severe pain and had no balance to walk. However, as God’s healing power touched him, all the pain left, his strength returned, and he walked out of his wheelchair totally healed by the power of God.
• A 3-year-old boy and his mother came to the platform to testify of how the boy’s hearing had been restored. As they began to share their testimony, they showed Pastor Benny a box containing special hearing apparatus, which the child had used to hear just a little. His mother explained that the hearing apparatus cost $28,000 in the U.S., but someone had donated it to them. As Pastor Benny addressed the little boy, the child’s face broke into a smile as he responded that he could hear Pastor Benny. The mother and her friend wept tears of gratitude as they looked on in amazement, in awe of what God had done for the little boy. His innocent face beamed with delight because he could hear!
• A medical doctor was healed of breast cancer. She said the tumor was completely gone and she no longer had any pain.
• Many other women were also healed of breast cancer and came forward to testify of their miracles.
• Many others were healed from various forms of arthritis.

There were so many miracles it was impossible for everyone to come to the platform to testify about what God had done for them. The audience roared again and again in celebration at seeing the stream of miracles!

THE GREATEST MIRACLE OF ALL
Pastor Benny gave altar calls during the services for “the greatest miracle” of salvation, and the response was utterly overwhelming as tens of thousands of people streamed forward, many weeping openly, to receive Jesus Christ as Savior.

Men, women, and children all offered up a life-changing prayer. There were too many new believers to count as people jammed the front near the stage and every available space in the aisles.

TE ALABARÉ MI BUEN JESÚS
At the end of the Sunday service, Pastor Benny asked everyone to join in a special worship song popular in Venezuela. As the refrain began rising throughout the massive crowd, all joined in celebration of what God had done in their midst:

En todo tiempo te alabaré (In all time I will praise You)
En todo tiempo te adoraré (In all time I will adore You)

Te alabaré (I will praise You)
Te glorificaré (I will glorify You)
Te alabaré mi Buen Jesús (I will praise my Good Jesus)

Tears flowed freely throughout the Plaza as people of all ages sang, an ocean of hands lifted upward, rejoicing at all that God had done there.

“I’M COMING BACK!”
Before leaving the platform at the close of the final service, Pastor Benny proclaimed, “I have fallen in love with the people of Venezuela. You have captured my heart, and I’m making you a promise right now—I’m coming back!”

As his words were translated into Spanish, the announcement was greeted with shouts, cheers, and applause.

A CALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS
“I am overwhelmed at what God did in Venezuela,” Pastor Benny Hinn reported. “This was truly a historic crusade, the greatest of 2007, and I believe it is a foretaste of what lies ahead in 2008! I am asking partners all over the world to pray for those touched during this Holy Spirit Miracle Crusade in Valencia. We are grateful for the wonderful open doors that we experienced. This is such a critical time for the entire region, and I believe God has begun a mighty work in Venezuela and the surrounding nations.

The next year and a half is crucial for this area, and I ask you to intercede for His Word to go forth with liberty and power during the coming months. There is such faith and expectancy here! What a season of outpouring this is! What a time for the message of hope and salvation to continue to go forth!”
